But yea. I have a similar problem with LW-PLA now. I found no way to fix it except lower acceleration and speeds + "extra extrude after retraction" = 0.5 mm. That thing drips like crazy and if the "extra length" is not there then rhe filament is simply missing at the start of an extrusion.

This can be caused by many more factors but the issue is "filament was not extruded in sufficient quantity when it was supposed to be"

The external perimeter issue seems to me as incorrect pressure advance - not enough plastic is extruded as the toolhead accelerates. This results in the filament "dripping" instead of being laid in a line. One perimeter like that is enough to start chain reaction.

Rapido 1 - Is my hotend dead or just wires and terminals?
I know I know...
But the reason why I even created this thread - according to logs that last failure occured because reported temperature continuously increased up to shutdown at 300 °C while heater was not powered on.

I recrimped the Rapido terminals and swapped for regular dupont ones - it seems to have have been fixed. The PID heating seems to be in line at least.

Plan is to get secondary router working essentialy as extender and plug the printer into it via Ethernet

TP-Link EC 225-G5
1.5 years old. Thinking about the question I also had problem with work laptop disconnecting when in dual band mode. Splitting to 2.4 and 5 ghz networks fixed the laptop issue

Layer shift for just one layer and then back again?
This is a stretch but check g code. If that layer or the one directly below is substantially longer then it can cause something like that.
