Community Clothing Field Pants Experiences
Hey y’all! My search for pants has with some help from friendly community members landed me at the community clothing field pants. Since I won’t reasonably be able to return this I want to make sure to nail the fit on these. I checked the size chart and the waist circumference seems so be 100cm, giving a flat waist measurement of 50cm. When I measured my pants today the flat waist measurement for most of them seemed to be closer to 51 or 52 cm. However this didn’t directly correlate to how tight they fit me, so I’m asking for experiences. I usually wear a 38 or a 40 in most brands and I’m wondering if I’ll be good with the 38 size. I’ve heard they fit big in the waist but 100cm isn’t unusually big for a 38 waist either. Also yes I am fully aware that I am absolutely and severely overanalyzing this!

looking for pants recommendations
Soooo, I’ve been wearing Dickies for a bit now and they’re cool, but there’s also plenty about them I’m not really enjoying, so I’m looking for a different kind of „go-to“ beige pant for me, which as a big guy is sometimes kinda hard. I’ve been looking at Ben Davis work pants as an alternative, as well as the LL Bean natural fit. I also looked at community clothing, but they don’t ship to the EU. Bronson and SauceZhan don’t work for me, I need roughly 39-40 inches in the waist, so most Japanese brands are also out. Specifically I want like 13-14 inches of rise and a reasonably wide leg. Nothing crazy, nothing slim. I prefer cotton, but I’m open to blends. Not crazy about elasthane, also not crazy about getting them 2nd hand, because I want something that I can reliably buy again in a year or two. If y’all got any recs, hit me with them.

Kleman Padror and Paraboot Michael comparison
After selling my Paraboot Michaels for size reasons I’m looking to replace them, however the price has risen drastically over the last two years (~20%). So I’ve looked at the Kleman Padror as an alternative. I don’t mind them not being stitched, because I doubt I’m part of the crowd that actually benefits from a stitched construction. I’ve been more concerned about leather quality. Is the price increase of almost 300€ worth the difference in quality in the opinion of those that have owned/handled both? I know what Paraboots are like, but I’ve not yet handled Klemans.

loafers for wide feet and high instep
Y’all I’ve been struggling with finding a good loafer for myself. I have pretty wide feet and a very high instep, making it difficult getting shoes without a lacing system. I want a classic penny loafer type (with beefroll) with an overall more casual vibe (so no shiny leathers I guess) and either a leather or a thin rubber sole. My problem most of the time is that they’re not high enough and hurt my feet even after a longer break in period, so yeah. If a penny loafer turns out to just not be in the cards for me that’ll be fine too - I’d love recommendations for similar moccasin type shoes with laces as well! A pair of Russell Moccassins has been tempting, but shipping (and returns) and Europe would be a big advantage.

Getting smells out of suede jacket
I got a really good deal on a type A1 suede jacket off Vinted but that thing smells like it’s been in a basement for the last decade. Any tricks to getting smells like that out of suede, since washing is somewhat out of the picture?

suit for a guy that never wears suits
Jumping off the other thread - I’m also looking for a suit for occasions when the odd jacket won’t do. I prefer a more casual approach to tailoring and would like to have that reflected. So I’m looking for something unstructured in maybe cotton (open to light wool as well) - possibly undarted. High waist trousers (13 inch +) are a must, because I have a long torso. Also it’d be practical if I can get the trousers in a separate size from the jacket. I need a bigger trouser size because of my shape. Price wise I’m flexible (willing to save up), but for 1500+ I might as well go m2m with my local menswear guy. I’ve tried the universal works London jacket but it didnt work for me size-wise. The style I liked a lot.

looking for linen Overshirt recs
Reacting to advice in today’s styling suggestions I’m looking for a nice somewhat relaxed, but not too long Overshirt, preferably in linen or similar. Color-wise navy or indigo would work well. Availability in Europe is a big plus. I’ve checked out A Day’s March but it’s not really all that I think. Budget I’m thinking 250 max?

Slip-On Sneakers Vans Alternatives
Hey everyone! I have wide feet and a high instep. This means I cannot fit into Vans Slip-Ons at all. Since wides are only available for customs (no returns!) I’m looking for an alternative. Anyone have any recommendations? I’d prefer white/off white.

Quality on Dickies 874 Trousers
See title. How comfortable are the 874s with the 65/35 blend? Do they run hot/sweaty? Do they collect lint? Any other problems one might not be expecting?
