looking for pants recommendations
Soooo, I’ve been wearing Dickies for a bit now and they’re cool, but there’s also plenty about them I’m not really enjoying, so I’m looking for a different kind of „go-to“ beige pant for me, which as a big guy is sometimes kinda hard.
I’ve been looking at Ben Davis work pants as an alternative, as well as the LL Bean natural fit. I also looked at community clothing, but they don’t ship to the EU.
Bronson and SauceZhan don’t work for me, I need roughly 39-40 inches in the waist, so most Japanese brands are also out.
Specifically I want like 13-14 inches of rise and a reasonably wide leg. Nothing crazy, nothing slim.
I prefer cotton, but I’m open to blends. Not crazy about elasthane, also not crazy about getting them 2nd hand, because I want something that I can reliably buy again in a year or two. If y’all got any recs, hit me with them.

Stan Ray OG fits should hit 14in rise and 8in leg openings at 38-42 waist
You should email wherever you're buying from because the waist is not vanity sized

These are neat. I didn’t know Stan Ray made chinos, because they’re not available on the European site.
cabourn? I think their 38s get to about a 40 waist
They do! They’re also pretty pricey! I’d have to think twice about those!
But yeah. Those also might work!
Buzz Ricksons and Nanamica maybe?
I can do the Buzz Rickson officer models in a 38, but availability is pretty intermittent here sadly. Esp. for the 1942 cut, which is my preferred one.
Nanamica does a thing that I dislike about my dickies as well, is that they use a metal thingy for closing.
I‘m not trying to be dismissive, I have just tried so many pants at this point and I’ve yet to find „the one“ 🥲
Ah damn I was thinking 1942 cut too
Can you find Carharrt B11's in Europe? They are the non double knee carpenter pants and might fit what you are looking for
They go up to the waist size you want and have plenty of room in the thigh/hip etc
I’d have to import. That’s generally not a problem, if I find a pair to try first.
