Kleman Padror and Paraboot Michael comparison
After selling my Paraboot Michaels for size reasons I’m looking to replace them, however the price has risen drastically over the last two years (~20%).
So I’ve looked at the Kleman Padror as an alternative. I don’t mind them not being stitched, because I doubt I’m part of the crowd that actually benefits from a stitched construction. I’ve been more concerned about leather quality.
Is the price increase of almost 300€ worth the difference in quality in the opinion of those that have owned/handled both? I know what Paraboots are like, but I’ve not yet handled Klemans.

Handled but haven't owned both. Own Michaels. THe main difference, at least in the Klemans I tried, was the leather didn't feel quite as nice. But it could have been the specific pair too; it was a lot stiffer and shinier. But that's also something you'd rectify with wear.
My friend has the klemens and they look good and he likes them
Thanks for that! Leather quality is one thing I’m thinking about, because I’m worried that after owning paraboots I won’t be able to switch over because I know what I’m missing out on lol
But I’m seriously doubting they’re 300€ better tbh
Thanks!
I don’t think they’re stitched? Could be wrong though
FWIW I don’t really think welting matters
Yeah Klemans aren’t! But I don’t think I’ll get them resoled a lot of times for the next 30 years, so that won’t matter too much. The idea that glued shoes can’t be resoled is a myth anyways. With good construction it’ll work once or twice.
honestly i don't think so either.
I’ll probably choose a leather where it’s not that big of a deal anyways - a grained leather should work well.
Something I've used to help in this sort of situation is look at photos of used ones on eBay, to see what condition they are in once people have used them for a while
Filter by "sold" to get a wider time span
This is a great suggestion, thank you!
