Not as much as a few years ago but depending on the colorway there are definitely pairs that are still hyped and I highly doubt military blues will be an easy cop

You can find some barely worn or new without box pairs on eBay that are a good amount cheaper than full resale prices though. I've sold no box and barely used (like only worn once or twice) pairs at like $100 to $150 less than brand new in box
If you absolutely need the box there are people who sell just the empty boxes too (I sell all my boxes)

for this style i prefer killshots or even super ligas over sambas. sambas have a long tongue and it can sometimes be a little annoying

This is my issues with Jordanās too. It also seems like the good colorways sell quickly / are hard to find while they have tons of bad Js I have no interest in sitting on their site. Just make more of the popular colorways instead of tons of crap ones (I get itās part of the faux scarcity/ hype aspect but still super annoying as a consumer)
Yeah this is on the money. Other brands have done a better job of releasing GR pairs with cohesive colorways. Jordan brand, and Nike itself, do a poor job of this IMO

pollens would be a good choice, could also consider a pair of dunk highs since Nike kind of flooded the market with lots of pairs and they're more reasonable priced. I've seen lots of earth toned colors for them too

I think 3's are more versatile for a big ass basketball sneaker.
I owned a pair of the J1 pollens and depending on how loud the rest of your fit is, they can be pretty distracting
I think it doesn't super matter if the AJ1s are loud since you're working with a muted palette to begin with, but if that matters to you that much, maybe like the Palominos or Moon Fossil dunks?

How do you like the fit? The lack of cushioning on them annoyed me a lot and I only tried their mexico 66 nippon made edition. These are probably not for everyone. But these are the only sneakers that I will get in yellow cw.
They're one of my favorite sneakers and ive owned a bunch of them over the past 20ish years. The Nippon made ones I actually think have the hardest soles and are the only pairs I've ever needed to break in. The standard ones and sd versions have softer soles and are usually really comfy (at least for me) from the first wear
I've had the outsoles on the standard version of the Mexico 66 wear down in a matter of months with relatively heavy daily use (lots of walking during some business travel in SEA), while my Nippon made ones went through similar use and held up for at least a few years
If you want more cushion you could maybe go up a half size and replace the insole with something a bit more padded?
I could not size up on them. Even going TTS made me feel if my heel was slipping maybe because of lack of heel support. So I just gave up. Right now I am eyeing GSM SD. Hoping it will be a different experience for me.

depends on your foot shape, they run slim with a flat profile
I had a pair of leather chucks as mosh pit shoes for the longest time, they were great
I find cons pretty uncomfortable just because they have zero arch support
I have high arch and most flat shoes are very uncomfortable
I find stan smiths and chucks super comfy, I am an absolute freak

I think because (at least in Europe) because of it's longevity. It's been consistently worn by a huge amount of people here the same way something like the air force one has in the US, except for far longer
