black derby/blucher recommendations
looking for some recommendations on a black derby/blucher shoe. I am actuslly replacing my black paraboot michaels because they’re just brutally uncomfortable for me which isn’t usually a problem.
i like the chunky lug sole a lot but don’t know too many brands off the top of my head. budget is around 300 to 400. i like this morjas plain toe blucher: (https://www.morjas.com/us/product/the-plain-toe-blucher-black-calf/)
but would prefer to be able to get sized in store, and wondering what else is out there. located in nyc

looking to enter the blazer game - advice for versatile first blazer?
I dress pretty casually for the most part, but upon getting dressed for a broadway show last week i found that I am pretty lacking in the “more formal” department. I’m thinking a blazer would be a good addition to my existing closet and widen my wardrobe on the formality spectrum.
Ideally would like to find a secondhand one on ebay or elsewhere, $100 or less.
what are some brands/keywords to search by? and what’s a versatile pattern/color? I wear a lot of earth tones so am guessing a navy or brown or houndstooth or herringbone blazer would get me pretty far but what do you think?

Does anyone make their own alterations?
After getting a handful of shirts shortened by a tailor, I realized it might be more cost effective to finally purchase a sewing machine and learn how to do it myself.
Really only interested in basic alterations at this point (hemming shirt lengths, pants, maybe bringing in the waist on a few pairs of pants?). Does anyone have experience with this? What resources do you use? What other supplies should I expect to have to purchase besides a sewing machine?

premium tees for shorter bodies
i know theres a hundred tee recommendation requests on here, but mine is more niche:
im about 5’ 9” with broader shoulders and a relatively short frame. haven’t gotten a good measurement but i’d say 43 or 44 inch chest or around there. over the years i have purchased L sized tees which began to be too tight in the shoulders, and have since switched to XL which have the alternate problem of being too long.
my solution to this was getting tees hemmed, but i’ve also come across larger neck holes which sit on my body in a way i don’t really like. i own some whitesville tees as well as a merz, both XL but shortened 2 inches which seems to do the trick (albeit the merz is still pretty snug)
I’m looking for some premium tees in that whitesville price range (budget around 40 to 60) with more color options, good textures, smaller neck holes, and preferably cut for shorter torsos. any brand recommendations?

shoes with a samba/ontisuka tiger vibe
long time wearer of both of these brands and shoe styles and they’ve seemed to get very popular in the last couple years, tiger 66’s especially being one it feels like have recently caught on. what are some similar sneakers that might not be as well known or widely bought?
specifically i like the various color ways of tigers, lightweighted-ness, slim silhouette, etc etc.
