can wrinkles be removed from this vintage leather jacket?
found this 100% goatskin leather jacket online but wanted to make sure the wrinkles could be removed at a dry cleaner or via steaming or something? i’m guessing the jacket was packed in a vaccuum sealed bag or something resulting in all the creases
could a cleaner take care of this? and what should i expect for cost? in nyc for context

honestly i think the wrinkles are cool 🤷
it's up to individual cleaners on if and how they'll take care of this (whether by steaming or trying to stretch the fabric back out)
you might be able to release some of the wrinkles by using a steamer - put a towel on the fabric, hold it several inches away from the towel and slowly go back and forth - but again, i think they look cool imo
how well it'll take to steaming also depends on the surface finish
but I've also heard that steaming/ironing can burn the leather
so just be careful, with either a towel or paper inbetween and work in short passes, constant movement
thanks for the advice, i think i’ll pull the trigger
