Bronson MFG
For me, AliExpress prices aren't much different from the official Bronson website. But with AliExpress, there's usually monthly site wide coupons of a few dollars off as well as no minimum required for free shipping. Also shipping times are similar since they're both shipping out of China.

From The Screen to Your Closet - Topic of the day 8/20/24
I don't particularly dress in fashion consistently, but the film "Her" still sticks to my mind when I think of a cohesively memorable aesthetic. The ambiguous near future. Everything is very familiar but kind of distant enough to know it's not now or then. Essentially, high waisted pants and collarless shirts still live rent free in my mind.

Overdressing - Topic of the day 7/18/24
I think my thoughts on over dressing have changed. There definitely is a "know and dress appropriately for the occasion." That's the golden standard. But as of late, I add the caveat of "if the fits tight it's aight." If one chooses to consciously over dress then it better be on point whether it's Japanese city boy or Ricky Ricky Slicky Owens. My monkey brain: if fit is dope: dope fit overrides over dressing. Otherwise, overdressed. I just like seeing dope fits in the wild.

Bronson MFG
Adding to the pool of Bronson tubular t shirt data points. Ordered the black colour. Nice and hefty. I typically order small in most sizes (Levi's, Nudie, GAP) since they're usually sized for 36 inch chest sizes. For the Bronson t shirt, I ordered medium after looking at the garment measurements and asking the Bronson customer service. I'm pretty satisfied with the fit. Chest isn't overly boxy or slim, I'd say right in the middle. The shoulders fit me like a glove with the armholes feeling quite fitted as well. Medium was definitely the positive choice, or at the very least, ordering small would've been too tight in the shoulders and armholes. Very easy to wear tucked, the extra weight adds a bit of volume to the tuck. Wearing the t shirt untucked, the vibe of the length veers more towards the mid 2010 streetwear length rather than vintage Americana. Pretty happy with the length either way. Anyways, pretty satisfied with the t shirt. Would order again.

Recurring Inspo Thread - Topic of the day 2/28/24
I've been reading Tsutomu Nihei's series of mangas again and the gloomy and brutal aesthetic and atmosphere of his earlier works like Blame and Biomega just hits. Basically reinforcing I should just do the Rick Owens and Julius thang already.

Style Highlight: Gorpcore - Topic of the day 12/28/23
I remember seeing the term "gorpcore" for the first time online and seemed like winter outfits in mainly synthetic fabrics that I'd normally see during winter except with F A S H I O N. Seen some cool jackets and interesting fits now and then from Japanese instagram accounts, but that's the extent of my interest in gorpcore.

Decluttering/refining your wardrobe
But I think I can only judge by "competition" now because I've already trimmed the amount of clothes by so much and at this point it's about wearing the stuff I really love or gravitate towards, rather than the "maybe".

Decluttering/refining your wardrobe
The point about having clothes in the closet "competing" was definitely a part of the process of looking at something right now. My wardrobe is at the point now where a large part of keeping something is kind of dwindled to: "Would I wear this over anything else I currently have?"

Lol, yeah I'd imagine this post would get traction for someone after they immediately after they threw something out instead of sometime afterwards in reflection.

Decluttering/refining your wardrobe
Earlier in the year, I did a sweep of easy to remove items from the wardrobe. The common thread among this iteration was that they were just were just uncomfortable, either fit or material. No pieces that were of any note. Just a lot of "itchy sweaters amirite?"

Smallish versatile backpack suggestions for a daily carry?
Right now I'm using the cote et Ciel saru backpack. I like it for the minimal aesthetic, but it has enough easy access pockets and internal organization. The laptop compartment also is suspended which is a huge plus.

Cote et Ciel is also a favorite of mine, designs are more fashion forward and the downside for this company is their internal organization is lacking compared to the other two companies I listed.

Aer is one of my personal favorite because of their darker aesthetic. Great company if you like technical fabrics.

Smallish versatile backpack suggestions for a daily carry?
Depends on what you like in terms of aesthetics, such as leather workwear, dark techwear, or classic Americana. For more conventional day packs, Bellroy is a solid company, good materials and great organization.

Shaving Kit
I'll also add another beginner friendly safety razor that's often recommended: the Edwin Jagger DE89. Pretty mild shave that's good for sensitive skin that's a good start if you're just starting off shaving. Another solid option is the Rockwell 6C, because it's advertised as adjustable being able to have a really mild shave to very aggressive and everything in between. Both should be available on Amazon.

Your most bricked fit?
Lol, I think preferences stunted in 2020 because some of these brick fits are kind of my jones.
On that note though, I used to wear blazers with everything. And not good fitting ones at that: too small, big armholes, length was too short. Mari Kondo those bad boys out of the closet recently.
