Fabric VS paper (regarding content/performace)

As I've talked many times in these threads, I have on my hands the development of a server on a greater scale than I'm used to, and after further calculations we conclude that the average players on long term might not exceed a max of 20. Probably 30. My plan was to use paper & take advantage of the features, but I was checking fabric and the possibilities for world gen are amazing. Weather packs, so many pretty new strucutres, it would defiitively be a new experience. Althought I could make my world on fabric and export it to paper, some things break, like strongholds searching with ender pearls. I really don't want to spend lots of time fixing quirks, should I just make it on fabric & archieve my purpose with optimization mods?

World gen fabric mods that are fully compatible with vanilla clients

I'm looking world gen mods that will be paper (vanilla compatible) so I generate a fancy world on fabric and export it to paper. Atm I thought of getting all of yung's mods since they're good, but I saw there's three main mods for this purpose: terralith, tectonic and litosphere. What are some mods that I should use?

Ideas for a Minecraft server

As I talked for a lot of time in admincraft, I want to make a Minecraft server for my college. It'll most likely be a paper server with plugins. What thematics or plugins could I add to make the experience more fun & try to make this server last for a long time? What are some nice ideas that I could apply? What's a nice terrain data pack that I could use to have an interesting word & structures?

Server setup for my college! How many players can I get on my hw?

8 gb ram and 4 vcores of a i9 9900k, at a paper server, with very little plugins and all possible optimizations. I also need plugin recomendations and thematics to make the server fun on long term :) want to focus on getting players together

Planning for a modded Minecraft server for school

I have gathered with the students department to make a Minecraft server, it is planned to be a modded server. I must make a plan of what I need.. I have the hosting ensured, rough estimations might be around 15-20 players max on specific times. I must take into consideration: - desired platform (forge OR fabric) (will be chosen by students tbh) - desired modpacks (self made modpacks are unstable. Would be pretty to find an adventure+tech styled modpack in a recent mc version) - JVM flags setup. I need help with this. I do not know how to tune JVM flags

Modded server seems to often lag [fabric, prominence II, 1.20.1]

I currently have a long spark report that has recorded the moments where there was more lag. I'll research it myself but I might as well share it here so I can get some extra help (as I'm not very experienced with spark reports) ty :)

add sounds to Minecraft on the go without resource packs

I would love to add ambient FX to random places in buildings (e.g. imagine there's a lab & you add a FX to a machine, or there's an automated door & you make it play a FX like an industrial door irl) is there a way to do that? I'm planning to do so in modded platforms.

TRying to test fabric proxy lite, I can't get it to work succesfully

I have a velocity server and two fabric test servers with mods. I configured it like docs state. backend is online mode. OWO lib gave errors but it seems there is a olugin that gives compats for owo lib handshakes. Now when I try to connect to a server, my logs say I just keep bouncing from a server to another.. what could be going wrong?

help setting up multiworld or another creative world (fabric 1.20.1)

Hi, I found a mod that kind of imitates multiverse. I want to set it up so I can have an alternative creative world. I'm aware this can easily be exploited, but it's a small server tbh. Although I'd love to have minimal security measures like making sure it's not easy to bring creative items to the smp. Like, i want both to be independent. But it seems the new worlds are created as if they were dimensions. Did fabric supported proxies? I might as well make a different server & link the smp and the creative world with a proxy.

stop new chunks creation?

I host a server in a panel where the resources just aren't enough to load new chunks without the server choking to death, and pregenerating big chunks of world is not an option due to storage limits. Using chunky border is also not an option because there are some places outside the main world which are exceptions. Disabling chunk generation could be helpful for this. Is this possible on fabric, 1.19.2?
