stop new chunks creation?
I host a server in a panel where the resources just aren't enough to load new chunks without the server choking to death, and pregenerating big chunks of world is not an option due to storage limits. Using chunky border is also not an option because there are some places outside the main world which are exceptions. Disabling chunk generation could be helpful for this. Is this possible on fabric, 1.19.2?

set a border
and limit users from exploring new areas
problem solved
I think they want some specific areas outside of the main border to be accessible
You could maybe look into pasting the world that has to be generated into just a void world(i'd recommend doing it in singleplayer if the server has such low resources)
World generation would still take over
It would just generate new void chunks which would make the performance at least a little bit better, also it wouldn't take up that much space
No?
Void generation isn't a thing afaik
Without mods etc
And not sure of one for fabric
I mean the superflat void preset type
Oh like that
there is also a void generator plugin
u dont need any mods
He's fabric and wants to stay on fabric
"without mods etc"
Planet Minecraft

then it is possible
Ofc it's possible lol
Worst case u can generate the world on any platform and then just move it over to fabric… but ya just use the data pack

I like all the suggestions but eh I might just use a chunky world border tbh
I'm going to take this thread in consideration for future reference tho
