ROA Hiking
Just picked up a pair of Lhakpas off of EBay and already they are my favorite all time sneaker.
They’re comfortable, functional, versatile, and aesthetically pleasing, which are traits that I didn’t really think could all be found in one package. Don’t hear too much about them on here so I was curious if anyone else had experience with them.

No love for slim fits?
Right, that’s why the current zeitgeist of wide fits kind of annoys me nowadays. I’m maybe more toward the expression aspect than the following trends aspect.

No love for slim fits?
Yeah I mean maybe an extreme example of this is like FOG essentials or Panda Dunks. They’re so popular saturated and everywhere that I know they’re going to look super dated.

No love for slim fits?
Not afraid to laugh at myself years down the line, but that’s not necessarily my goal when choosing what to wear haha

No love for slim fits?
Yeah, trends are for now yeah. But for me personally, I kind of hate just doing or wearing something just because it’s popular. It’s almost as if I didn’t choose it because I liked it, but I just decided that I want to fit in and everyone else is doing it.

No love for slim fits?
I myself prefer relax taper or straight fit to slim for most outfits, if not simply for the comfort. I view the shift away from slim as a positive thing. But honestly I feel annoyed at the wide pants zeitgeist that’s taking over every single fit everywhere all the time nowadays. It’s almost become as dogmatic as slim fit was mid last decade, such that anyone who wears slim is seen as not fashion conscious or outdated. It’s like hearing a pop song played on the radio over and over again to the point that it gets annoying.
I’ve noticed that the more trendy and popular something becomes, the more poorly it will age and the more dated it will look when it falls out of favor. Fatigue (pun intended) with wide fits will come eventually just like it did with slim fits, and those trying to pull it off after that time will look just as “dated” as slim fits look to the wide fit zeitgeist today.
