Z shift - gap on layers after M600 filament color change (VC4 500)
For the cube it was a few minutes. For other products it depends it can be from 15 minutes to an hour (I launch bi-color long prints at night trying to swap in the morning). I have "external perimeters first" active in PrusaSlicer so that it's even worst.
The nozzle (and bed/ bed chamber) stays hot and I push manually a bit the filament (equivalent to what Klonk says), cleaning oozing right before pressing Resume.
I've noticed that swapping to a brand new nozzle improved results, but I can still see a nasty "seam" and the bonding is weak, probably for the temperature reasons you are mentioning even though I had great layer bonding results in the past when the machine was new.
I am printing ASA and my products must have two colors, one on the bottom half and one the rest.
Shall I move the Z-offset down 0.3 or so whenever I resume then ? Any other solutions (apart of IDEX) ?

I'm not using a filament sensor. I have a stock hybrid vcore4 500

Never happened to me before, did it a dozen of times . Maybe a firmware update ?

Regular surface distortion pattern towards end of larger first layers VC4
Hello, any news on this ? I'm planning to get the titanium profile when it's back in stock, to get rid (hopefully) of very poor first layer quality and big inconsistencies printing ASA at 110/260 C on vc4 500.

hi! so:
bed temp: 105 C
nozzle temp: 255 C
fan speed: 15%
fan disabled for first 5 layers
I'm noticing that lowering speed to 100 for external perimeters the results improves quite a bit. But...this is a very large object to print aand takes forever so I was expecting that flow would cope with 200 mm/s and change from 50. But maybe there is some other issue or wrong parameter behind ?

Depression on bed corner - Vcore4 500 hybrid
honestly I don't know how I could adjust the feet. It's also complicated by the 55 kilos of the printer now. What's the rationale behind the feet adjustment and how wouuld that affect that depression on the corner ? Are you suggesting to empirically tighten or looosen the back left foot or..?

v-core 4 500 hybrid - belts tension and motors help
So by tightening with zipties the cables better and fixing a loosen bolt results are a bit better.
Can anyone pls comment/help on the video where I move the toolhead around if it looks way too much noisy and dragging ?
Also, while printing with top enclosure panel do you guys leave the umbilical tubes touch and hit the panels ? Did you bend the metal wire down ?

Should I loosen the quick connectors of the central back extrusion as well ? I think in a suggested video they do that buut I don't want to screw up all the work done so far...
