i had a big “i don’t buy clothing with graphics/logos/etc” phase for a few years thats come to an end in the past year or so. i think theyre helpful for adding detail to simple cuts and especially useful in big/wide silhouettes; they provide enough noise to anchor for ur eyes and break up shape a bit
my most worn graphic tees are a concert tee i got from one of my favorite artists and an affliction long sleeve, prob just because they match the aesthetic/themes of how i dress

unfortunately clothing that is shaped this extreme is often either very expensive or very cheap and the way they present often reflect that imbalance. do u have any components of the outfit already that ur planning to style around?

i feel very very lucky for how i’m able to interface w clothes: I’m a graduate student and can express myself any way i want as long as i get work done. i dress up for meetings/presentations in non-conventional formal clothing and have gotten pretty positive response from it too

those stacky ones i wear a lot are duckstacks from outlier, they have a 53.5” inseam and really subtle flare, perfect shape for me

for future reference w these pics it helps if u get ur pants and shoes in the photos. u can rly wear any size shirt u want but the context that ur wearing it in informs whether it looks right or not

Closet Refresh - Topic of the day 11/9/24
wardrobe refreshes are good. similarly to many of you i constantly rotate through things, but there comes a time every few seasons where i have to look at pieces from an old style or theme that i no longer resonate with and bulk sell things off
i feel very strong fixations on certain styles and i think that rotating in this manner has helped me explore a lot of directions and helps me move past styles in a way i wouldn’t be able to do if i took turns more gradually

Pant rise discussion
i personally always style w the intent of making the pant shoe interaction to look good. if that means sagging or hiking stuff up or whatever then that’s what i do and make work w the rest of the fit
