Alden Shoes
I’d advise getting sized on a brannock before getting Alden’s.
That said - I take a 9.5uk in most Meermin, and go for a 10 in most ~1/2 down Alden lasts (Barrie & trubalance). Keep in mind I do have narrow feet.

Also with Spier you basically have to get shirts as they drop, or just see if there’s anything on sale. There’s no restocking at all, just full price or taking the chance

Alden Shoe Company
Not a ton at the present, but the short if it is that Alden’s been around since the 1880’s or so, and did a lot of focus / development / eating up of orthotic shoe production. Their lasts have been super refined to have good shape both aesthetically, as well as orthoticly, granted there’s probably a bit of weird semi-factual science in that early history. Either way, they’ve had like 250 years to get lasts down pat with a lot of it focused on “foot health”, and that’s reflected heavily in both the shapes and comfort of their shoes.
Grant stone is semi-similar in aesthetics, but their lasts are visually less shapely and intentional, and the high-falutin shoe consumer is likely to see a marked difference at the margin.
Chalk it up to 250 years in the trade with a lot of R&D vs like a decade

I don’t think TLB really has anything that falls totally into that pocket, but the closest ones are the loafers on the Jones last. If you get them in suede and style them right, they won’t be too here-nor-there.
It’s hard to beat the LHS for that sort of look, and you can usually find some decently cheap on eBay. Otherwise, Grant stone is a pretty reliable second, though the pictured JM Weston and C&J are also certainly worthy options

My pants in waywt are a contemporary 34 Hollywood trouser. I’d go up to 35 just for more room in the top block - but altogether they’re still a super slim trouser.

Polo’s been around since ‘67… there’s a lot of labels / styles / patterns / formats.
Nobody’s really making polo reps unless it’s the bears.
