Safety Boots
There are leather paints, but you’d be better off trying to use a die or specific paint over spray paint. Also, lighter colors would take any paint / dye better. That said, just look for sneakers. Almost guaranteed there’s ASTM rated stuff that looks like trainers or VANs-esque

Safety Boots
Generally, if one works in a workplace where safety toes are required, it’s unwise to buy unrated boots — you’re fucking yourself if you ever get injured in more ways than one.

Safety Boots
Do these need to be ASTM rated, or are we just talking steel toes for style points?

“Burberry” scarf from a thrift store
Burberry has been around for like 170 years - it’s nigh impossible to legit-check most of their older stuff before they became a hype brand.

Suit Advice for Wedding?
The time constraint you’ve got definitely makes things slightly harder. You may have a suit supply nearby, and that’s probably the best quality “mall” brand you could find OTR stuff at if you’re like a 38-42. Otherwise, Ralph Lauren could be an option, J crew is more likely, but even Banana republic or Macy’s is on the table. Like Chopper said - on a crunch, whatever you can find that fits you is your best option.

Safari Jackets: What brands to look for vintage?
Orvis, Woolrich, LL Bean, Banana Republic, or actual military garments — most field / hunting brands should have something similar

Suit Advice for Wedding?
If you like it, it’s not a bad suit — I do think that functional cuffs are a big no-no for OTR suiting, and I can’t say I’m a big fan of the button stance of that jacket. In the lower budget / bigger bang category, I find Spier & Mackay is pretty good. Even their lowest Red line is ~$250 and a solid suit, so long as you’re not overly pedantic about suiting

Would you get once piece or three piece vamp exotic boots
My boss wears exotic boots regularly — it’s def noticeable, but considering your pants cover most of the shaft, it’s not too noticeable. It’s often more of a “oh huh, look at that” than anything.

If you can’t afford it, it’s not worthwhile to get it — even so, you’re the only one who can determine if you find $165 in value from that.

Very Comfortable Boots & Dressy-ish?
I own many boots, and Alden’s are certainly the most comfortable of the lot. I don’t have any issues with them from a dress perspective — I’m wearing ties most days with them, and post that often enough in #waywt . Sure, they’re not quite as sleek as EG Galways, but they’re definitely way dressier than IRs to an extent that I wouldn’t consider there being much overlap. There’s occasionally some quality concerns, but tbh most of those things are exacerbated by the internet, and are non-issues blown up by perfectionists. 99/100 times if you have an actual issue with an Alden, they’ll exchange it — if you want another layer of protection, buy from a larger stockist like J Crew.

Yeah, that usually does the trick for white soles

Can’t really dye things white, but you could try - definitely safer. I’d start with a magic eraser, vinegar, or maybe rubbing alcohol, and then you could try to cover it. If desperate try acetone on a Q tip, but again, could eat away at it.

It would definitely strip it, but not knowing what that sole is made of, I wouldn’t start with it

Always, no - generally, sure. At that price you’re not gonna be resoling them anyway, so get what looks cooler

SuitSupply vs. Enzo Custom
I’ve found that I didn’t really like SuSu’s cuts, and their styling was too intense to not be well executed — I tend to prefer Spier’s tailoring if I’m staying on the lower end of price but still want things a bit trim.

How much should a camel hair coat cost?
It would cost a lot to get a hair coat for a camel - I’m not sure they make them OTR that large, so it would probs have to be bespoke. Ballpark like 10-16 grand for an average camel.
