Safari Jackets: What brands to look for vintage?
I'm interested in getting a safari jacket, preferably in linen or a linen blend, though a lightweight cotton would probably also work.
There are over 2,800 listings for pre-owned safari jackets on eBay just within the US, so I'm not sure where to start my search. What brands would you recommend for a nice, high-quality vintage one?

Linen casual jackets are great because they have that great drape linen is known for, and as you wear them in, they soften up, wrinkle and get a great patina. These new belted safari jackets in linen from Spier & Mackay look seriously cool. Slightly longer than a field jacket (which they're also stocking in linen

Ralph Lauren is probably a decent place to start.
That’s a good call. Just found this one that looks pretty nice!

Banana republic might be good since they were all about that aesthetic originally
Orvis, Woolrich, LL Bean, Banana Republic, or actual military garments — most field / hunting brands should have something similar
Thanks for advice everyone! Did a bunch of research as well today. Looks like the best vintage safari-style jackets (or bush jackets as they are often called) are from Abercrombie, Banana Republic, and Willis & Geiger, especially the last one. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any vintage ones from those brands in good enough condition, in my size, and at a reasonable price, so I went for the RL one basics. Paid ~$100 on eBay, which felt reasonable enough for the condition and details.
