ive been on a similar search for my retail job. so far what i've learned is that what makes a shoe comfortable is very subjective. e.g., some of my coworkers swear by on clouds, but others have had issues. for myself I found that NB 996 fit weirdly when i used some insoles but not others. its kind of a journey i think

Without passing moral judgement, you can get better quality clothes secondhand for about the same prices. The advantage to places like Zara and especially uniqlo are having fewer questions, being able to return, being able to try on irl, etc

Want to follow this thread bc I’m in a similar boat—my approach has been thrifting and buying used clothes and patching stuff together which is fun but can come with some guilt abt making bad purchases (especially online where it’s inevitably more expensive)

I’m probably not gonna buy now, it’s at my job so I’ll just see if it’s still here in a week or two

i literally only learned the way BR has the three dots on the label for factory items as I was trying to find info about a linen shirt i got from a thrift store. I'll have to see how it holds up since reports on BRF seems mixed at best

Somewhat related, what is the process of getting lenses in a frame replaced like? I’ve thought about either buying sunglasses or secondhand glasses and just getting lenses changed bc depending on the cost that might be cheaper
