A lot of my friends in restaurants wear danskos or clog equivalents. Compression socks are also recommended. Comfort will vary based on your feet
Comfiest shoes I have are my Solomon xt6 or my Birkenstock Super Birkis
kitchen clogs or shoes for crews (extremely ugly) with insoles, bar none if in a kitchen environment
Yeah the insole is the biggest game changer imo. When I worked at coffee shops I would just size up my vans a bit and throw some super feet in them
ive been on a similar search for my retail job. so far what i've learned is that what makes a shoe comfortable is very subjective. e.g., some of my coworkers swear by on clouds, but others have had issues. for myself I found that NB 996 fit weirdly when i used some insoles but not others. its kind of a journey i think
Best thing imo would be to go to an actual shoe store vs shopping online
Try a bunch of stuff on. Kinda know what has hurt your feet in the past
Do you need waterproof or any other work related things?
I have a similar job and salomons have been the best by far, but not waterproof so I had to change them
Best thing about my super birkis is when I dropped a gallon of milk on my feet I just had to hose em off
Ooh those would be perfect for me
insoles help a ton. if you have specific issues like flat feet, plantar fascitis, etc consult with a podiatrist and consider customs
dangit yeah you're right ty
I think I should just about be OK without waterproof - which salomons did you like, the xt6 too?
yea!
I really do love my xt6 but human feet are kind of all over the place
I have friends that swear that converse chucks are the most comfy things ever :yea:
chucks are great errand shoes but I could not imagine working on your feet in them
