As others have said the hard part of tee shirts is there is no universal best option. Just gotta see what out there. Is the right balance of price and happiness to you

Whitesville has my favorite tees at about $50 each. Merz b are standout as well but are super thick and something I really only take out during the colder months. The iron snail on YouTube has a couple videos on tee shirts from a range of price points that would be a good place to see many of the options

Engineer boot brands to look out for?

Thats a little preachy and annoying lol I don’t mean for it to come off that way. I guess I’m more so trying to just steer people in the direction of “hey buy something marketed for actual motorcycle use (usually marked with a CE certification) since there’s a lot of bogus out there”

I wouldn’t personally sacrifice any bit of safety for style for my gear. I wear full gauntlets and high boots to go to the grocery store a mile from my house

As long as the boots are CE rated I’d agree with you. The level of rigidity from a work boot to any motorcycle boot is pretty drastic.

If they’re specifically for motorcycles I would highly recommend considering actual motorcycle boots. Leather boots are better than sneakers but they don’t have the full support a real motorcycle boot does. Lateral ankle support is really important if the bike is dropped on your foot and can be the difference between a broken ankle and getting up and walking away

If you kept the XL you could take it to a tailor to make the sleeve and body length shorter. That would be my choice.

Oni denim?

Iron heart 21oz are imo the best fabric out of any denim out there. Problem for me is most their fits are straight or slim - nothing wide. Highly recommend a pair in the future. Just to add onto others, sugar cane, warehouse, oni, samurai, black sign, fullcount are a few of my favorite. Best of luck with your new denim I hope you enjoy!

Closet Refresh - Topic of the day 11/9/24

Havent ever really done a closet refresh. I buy and sell a lot of my clothes but it never happens all at once. My style has somewhat stabilized over the past few years as I’ve been trying to consume more meaningfully. I prefer to be a bit more gradual and slow with my purchases these days. Definitely has slowed down my style progression but what’s the rush? One piece every month or two and that way I constantly have something new to look forward to

What's the difference between denim and chino fabric anyway?

A little hard to quantity coolness but the cultural impact of denim is massive. Definitely a factor in elevating denim kinda into its own space of recognizable

As for why denim has more gravitas than chino - I would guess the answer is mostly cultural. Denim has so much coolness associated with it
