Loafers recs
You can tell it’s getting to summer with all these people looking for loafers and now I fancy some too lol.
In terms of style, I’m looking to lean heavily into ivy/new england stuff over this spring/summer and would be looking for a more traditional style. I’d say in terms of colour I’d like a mid-to-dark brown pair, and I’m thinking penny loafers with minimal decoration. I’ve attached some inspo that relates.
I’m open to both new and second hand options with a budget of around £75-£125 (leaning heavy second hand, ideally not too worn in). I take a size 10 (UK) in converse Jack Purcells, US10.5 in thursday captains, US9 bean boots - sizing advice would be appreciated. UK based so UK sellers only please.

Alden is my favorite loafer hands down. Alden leisure hand sewn is my favorite and so good I never bothered to look at anything else. Alden is an American brand so may be more difficult to get in the UK
At your price range I would browse secondhand on vinted and see what deals you come across from any of the classic brands like trickers, Crockett and jones, carmina and so on
+1 to all of the above
will add meermin, allen edmonds, sebago, ll bean and brooks brothers x alden if searching secondhand
Todd Snyder has a nice collab with Alden
boat shoes or mocs might be a good alternative too; still 'traditional' but more inclined to take a beating if desired
You better keep wearing them cowboy boots during the summer or I s2g I’m hopping the pond and taking away your hat
:xd:
thanks for the suggestions, will check them out and see what i can find
