Help me figure out outerwear
Check out Universal Works et al if you want something along the lines of pic 1-2 which are chore coats/overshirts, vintage raglan coat for 3, overcoat for 4 and I think that’s a polo coat or something similar in pic 5. Definitely go vintage/used for 3-5.

wool pants/clothing questions
The weight of both fabrics was listed on the manufacturers website, plenty of companies don’t do this though which is annoying when it comes to coats in particular

Just to confuse you further, Donegal tweed comes in a variety of weights. For instance I have two Donegal tweed balmacaan coats, one is 655g/mtr and the other is about 500g/mtr in weight (no idea what this is in oz/yds, sorry). The heavier one is bulletproof in the cold and wind but has 100% polyester lining whereas the other has viscose lining which I much prefer.

Woolrich replacement buttons
that's the most likely scenario, I would rather have to sew back on two buttons rather than six out of pure laziness and :skillissue:

help picking a rain parka
Yeah my one is slightly different to the jackets in your pictures as it doesn’t have a storm flap either and is 65/35 cotton/poly. The waist cords prob won’t see much use but I thought they look cool

What are thoughts on Gramicci?
I love x 1000000 Gramicci pants, have a few pairs and they look better with age and stand up well to being beaten around. Would love if their "wool" pants weren't 14% Acrylic, 7% Cotton, 5% Nylon, 50% Polyester, 13% Rayon, 8% Silk, and 3% *actual *Wool (still might buy them if I see them on sale some time)

Whats the general opinion on stone island and Canada goose jackets?
In the part of the world I live in Stone Island jackets are the preserve of tuff football geezers in the UK while here in Ireland Canada Goose jackets are mainly worn by 16 year old kids who steal bicycles for a living.

Eco-friendly fabric softeners, or any other way to soften this material?
The vinegar smell never really hangs around tbh, air drying will definitely get rid of it.

Eco-friendly fabric softeners, or any other way to soften this material?
I second the vinegar approach. Once you've washed clothes, put the vinegar into the fabric softener slot in the drawer of the machine and set it on a gentle rinse cycle for 20-30 mins or so.
