Denim washes + lightening a pair
Wash with a little bleach (using the bleach pocket of your washing machine). Or soak in tub with a splash of bleach and swish around frequently. Rinse out while still darker than you want, since it will lighten a bit more when drying.
Just don't cram them in a bucket of bleach water since that will result in uneven fades (ask me how I know)

which color for this Patagonia parka?
Thanks y'all. So here's my thoughts about dark colors in foul weather, don't you want to be more visible? Versus blend into the shadows? Particularly when living in a city and crossing streets, etc

This is my thinking as well. It's just that most technical shells are hip-length, and I'm looking for a solution that hits the thigh (and covers my wool coat underneath)
