Jacket Flared At Bottom

I was trying on a Lacoste jacket (sadly no pictures) and everything fit me perfect except the bottom flared away from me. I can’t really find a picture online but does anyone know what I mean? What causes that ? Is it me or the jacket ?

I'm sorry but it's pretty much impossible to give helpful advice on this without pictures.

Just how that jacket fits in this case. If there’s no elastic or tabs at the hem it’ll usually do that especially in conjunction with a) poor fit or b) poor posture

The jacket is wider than the person's body so it blouses a little bit. It does take some getting used to, but this is how a lot of jackets are supposed to fit.

Really? That’s unfortunate I’m not sure I could ever get used to that haha

Just buy a different jacket Any that have side adjustable tabs or an elastic hem won’t flare like this This type of jacket is absolutely gonna fit like this no matter what though Just how it be

Is there a name for that style so I can look up fits ?

There’s a ton, it wouldn’t be one specific kind. A lot of bomber jackets, some harringtons, most trucker jackets

Bomber jackets have elastic, and some coach jackets might have a drawstring hem?

^ Coach would be another one Def sportier as well if you’re going the Lacoste route

A good search term is "ribbed" for cuffs and hems
