Verdigris on boots - solution?
Thanks for the reply here - did find this interesting.
As an update, I tried a much thicker paste of baking soda/water, let it dry and then brushed it off
Gave the boots a wipe down, and then conditioned. Does seem to have got rid of the vast majority of it !

whats the difference (pullover & hoodie)
I don’t think this was the best investment pitch tbh

Do you have any good suggestions for leather wallets?

Defo agree that poly serves a purpose in these circumstances - I wore regular cotton stuff before and it’s night and day in terms of how dry I stay

I go on (recreational) walks - maybe 5-10 miles or so, so I do want clothing which is separate from my day to day wear
I actually have a fairly compact selection though
A couple of Patagonia t-shirts, a couple of trousers from the same brand
And then a light fleece, and some shoes that I just use for that purpose
As it’s now getting colder and wetter, I’m looking at picking up a heavier fleece and probably a gore-tex version of the same shoes

Received the Utility Short Blouson - I do like the olive colour.
It's defo a bit oversized in the arms, but I don't mind that - especially if I'm primarily going to wear it over jumpers
It's marked as 'hand wash only' which is a tiny bit off-putting (although this is advertised on the store), and I suspect that's maybe due to the poly sleeve lining.
It feels solid though - I hope I'll get a lot of use out of it.

Thoughts on this fit?
Jeans seem to sit a bit low for the rise - but that can be remedied by wearing them higher possibly
The overall fit looks good though imo

Yeah, I got the impression from looking at the 34 brown (2024) that it may be a similar case there - a few of the StyleHint photos certainly looked that way
I have opted for the olive though. My hesitancy was that I have a lot of olive stuff already, but….i like olive so why not 😂

Ooo the Muji suggestion looks interesting - alas it’s out of stock in my size.
I couldn’t find a Navy one on eBay - outside of the U line, which I’m not as big a fan of.
I think I may opt for the olive - was briefly tempted by the 34 Brown but I suspect it’s probably a bit too light for my taste

I may have decided to bleach my (already bleached) pair again 👀
Hoping I don’t go too light though!

Experience with bleaching denim?
I may even do it again and see if I can get them a tad lighter 👀

Experience with bleaching denim?
I can’t add anything to what’s been posted above, other than I had fun bleaching jeans - was really cool to see them change shade and get new life out of an otherwise unused pair
I did have to do a few washes to get rid of the smell though

Is there a limit to how much a tailor could shorten a pair of trousers for you?
Some brands also just produce one standard length, with the expectation that the end wearer will get them hemmed according to preference
(Think my jeans were 36inch and I, again, got them hemmed down to 28/29)
So yeah, unless it's a pronounced taper and you're wanting to maintain that, then it should be fine!
