Question about earth curvature setting

Hello, I was excited to see that there is a setting for curvature, however it won't let me use a value of 1 which equates to real curvature. this is kind of unfortunate and would like to know why.

BLISS shader pack not working

I have the Bliss shader pack installed but I don't see anything when I launch MC, I'm not sure if it's because it's incompatible with the most recent version of DH I installed or I just didn't do it correctly.

Can't enable ambient occlusion in DH settings

I can't enable it. It's set to false and if I click on it, it doesnt change

Minecraft takes a super long time to load when having DH in the mod folder

I'm using 1.20.1 and Forge Forge 47.2.18. I tried with both versions for 1.20.1 uploaded on curseforge but whenever I boot up minecraft, even if i only have the Distant Horizons jar file in the mod folder and nothing else, minecraft never finishes loading.

Generate farther LOD ONLY

So I know the vanilla render distance and the Distant Horizons LOD render distance, the problem is Distant Horizons doesn’t generate the chunks themselves meaning if I actually want 64 LOD and 8 render distance I either have to go to the chunks to generate it or up the vanilla render distance, both not optimal options. Chunky is an option but having to pregenerate the chunks beforehand also doesn’t seem optimal Any way to generate the chunks but only render them as LOD constantly?...

Stutters and cpu usage

Is ~70% cpu usage average for a i7-13700k on low impact? My goal is to run medium impact which I thought this cpu would be powerful enough to run, but beyond minimal impact I get noticeable stutters even with capped fps.

reduce memory usage/lower past 32 chunks

On a a system with 4gb shared memory(vram+ram). Wondering how I could optimize memory usage with DH? It won't let me set below 32 chunks

LOD chunks not rendering with Simply Optimized and pre-set gamerules

I doubt anyone will find this very specific issue interesting however i did put some hours into this and documented it quite well so I'm posting anyways. I tried to reproduce it just with DH, but this issue seems only to appear when running DH with Simply Optimized. SO is a lightweight, pure optimization modpack, prioritizing on the latest Minecraft version. https://modrinth.com/modpack/sop/version/1.20.1-11.3 It contains C2ME and overrides for .minecraft/config/. I set gcFreeChunkSerializer and replaceImpl to false. To reproduce: - I created a new instance in Prism Launcher with the modpack linked above (1.20.1 Fabric 0.15.7), added DH 2.0.1-a and edited c2me.toml....

How can i solve this?

Question regarding rendering

Hello, I received some just fantastic assistance the other day and am looking for even more lol. Im unsure if this is normal, and/or how to change this but when playing, the distant view is very "Blobby?" or almost looks like its not "fully rendering" (sorry for my lack of knowledge in advance). Hello How do I open and close a .Jar file? I tried opening it with 7zip and using an online site to copy the zip file back into the jar, but after that it stopped working....

Problem with nvidium compatibility i think

it seems like the mod only loads the LOD chunks after the render distance, but in the server im playing, render distance its less than in a local world, so this bug happens, can someone help me?

server wold download and using vanilla shading with shaders

not the best title, but i have two questions: if i download my server's world, and open it in singleplayer, is it possible to generate LODs for all generated chunks, for later use in said server? if so, i'm good with managing the files, but is there anything i'd have to do in-game or in the configs for it to work? second, is there a way to have the LODs use vanilla minecraft's shading while using shaders for the real chunks?...

Not loading anything

Its my first time using distant horizons and the distant chunks arent loading i put it to the max LOD render distance i could and i even put it down to something like 128 to see if it couldnt render that much and it still didnt load anything beyond my 12 render distance, im not getting any fps issues it just isnt working. i checked the known incompatabilities and i dont have any of the mods installed except iris which isnt being used...

I can't generate enough chunks

I tried changing the settings for more chunks but i can't get more then this

world generation failing with chunky due to distant horizons error

getting the attached image error when trying to preload chunks with chunky. i have a variety of mods installed so thats definitely the issue as without them this issue doesnt happen. does distant horizons just dislike mods that change structure generation? (have all the yung's series mods)

CPU low ghz rate with DH

Usually I'm getting 3.7 ghz+ while playing any games but eith DH installed it drops down to 2.0 - 2.3 ghz. Any ideas what can cause it? My System: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H...

Space between LODs and Generated chunks

When flying around or at certain heights theres a circle around me that the terrain fades away. Is there a setting i'm missing?

Floating Island LOD

Is there a way to change the LODs in a way that removes the water from these islands so that its just empty below it or do I just have to deal with it.
