DH Chunks not rendering with shaders (forge)
LODs stop rendering when I enable shaders using oculus. I've tried everything I could in the FAQ, but nothing seems to be working.
Minecraft 1.19.2 (Singleplayer and Multiplayer)
- Forge 43.4.0
- Oculus 1.6.9...
[Worker-Main-16/INFO]: Distant horizons compatibility disabled.
What mod would send this message related to DH? Here is my mod list. I suspect c2me but i dont see any options specific about it in the config
Oculus and Sodium forks keep just instantly crashing my game when I try to launch
I checked faq and none of those solutions worked for me. DH works just fine by itself but Im also trying to use bliss shaders but oculus and sodium forks just keep instantly crashing my game
Prebuilt world for a modpack
Is it possible (or even a good idea) to provide DH chunk data when publishing a modpack, so players don't need to explore the world first?
Solution:
If someone would not want to download them, they just can choose not to if the modpack format alowes it or if it would be provided as a separate download
Issue with newest version of Oculus and embeddium when using it with DH

wrongly render grass block
As you can see , if I load my resource pack , grass turn into dirt. However, I have set the settings that the sides and bottom of grass block should be rendered as grass. (It’s correctly rendered as grass without the resource pack .)Is there any way to solve it?
missing of certain chunks
hi there, referring to the imgae, this specific chunk just not showing up after reloading the world, it used to be there but not showing this time, is there any method to fix? thx
Any performance mods I can run along side DH that will help with FPS well running the bliss shader
Context: I'm running a large tech pack I put together. with zombie hordes, many tech mods, some magic, and some decor mods. Its about 380 mods (most are addons to create, let's do, etc. I'm running at 55-60fps with DH set too 128 and running the bliss shader pack. I'm looking to see if anyone has any mods they know of that works along side DH to make gameplay smoother.
Chunks of the mod won't load when using Bliss Shaders.
The title is self-explanatory. But yeah, it is as if I wasn't using a mod at all, when enabling shaders it looks the same as the Regular render distance.
FPS decrease after 1-2min
Had the same issue a while ago and it was easily resolved back than, so maybe anybody knows how to fix it...; when i start a world with DH i first have pretty high fps values, but after around 1-2 minutes they decrease to just 50% without any reason...
So basically after joining a (for example) preloaded world, of course in the first 2-3 seconds the game stutters slightly, but after that i'm having around 170fps without any lags/delays. But then, even if I stand still and dont move at all, the fps drop to 80-90 after 1-2 minutes... the ram stays at around 4gb/24gb and only change that i notice is a decrease in usage of the gpu and cpu (which is only natural, bc in the beginning they're used to load the world; but why do I have have higher fps values in the beginning?)...
what is this
why is there colors on the dh chunks anything that could help stop this, tried reinstalling the mod didnt help
Black Chunks
Distant Horizons generates black/dark chunks in its LOD. The first screenshot shows it in my modlist. But even when running only Distant Horizons and FabricAPI on a regenerated world, I still get black chunks, as seen in the second screenshot. Though admittedly much less.
Since even without other mods interfering with Distant Horizons, that my config must be to blame, so I have attached that as well.
I am running MC 1.20.4, Fabric 0.16.0 and Distant Horizons 2.1.2-a....
Not working on a server.
Works in singleplayer worlds with shaders and mods. Doesn't work when I host a multiplayer world on a fabric server. The menu shows up and I get messages from the mod, but the LOD chunks don't show or load. The ram on the server is set to 16gb and the server has 16 cores. I'm running 1.21.1. I've tried running with only distant horizons mod and it still doesn't work. I'm wondering I need to use a specific version of DH or Iris as opposed to the latest versions. I attached an error I get when try...
Solution:
Distant Generation doesn't work in multiplayer, meaning DH won't be able to generate LODs for chunks outside the vanilla render distance.
Instead, as you travel around the world, LODs will be generated for areas you've visited.
In the next update, DH 2.3, you will be able to add DH to your server granted it's running a compatible mod/plugin loader (Fabric, (Neo)Forge, Bukkit and their derivatives). This will allow the server to generate LODs and send them to the client, making distant generation possible on multiplayer.
