Question for the chat... I think i have a potential J2 where I'd have tons of autonomy. There really isn't a structure defined so it doesn't seem to be extremely meeting heavy (outside of training). However, they used the same consulting firm as my J1 to build out their organization.
The firm is still there at J2 and J2 would want me to get as much knowledge as possible from the consultants so they can kick them out and bring them in on a case-by-case basis. This realistically would take months as I learn the system.
I've never met anyone from the firm at J1 and they are no longer at J1. I think my first couple of weeks would be spent just learning as much as possible from the consultants, and I've been told that I can schedule time from them (obv i would make it work with my schedule) to learn. Is taking J2 worth the risk considering the consultants essentially built the software I administer at J1?...

Healthcare question: Left my J with healthcare to swap it out, at the end of my COBRA enrollment period there will be a short gap between that date and when open enrollment coverage starts for my new healthcare J. Should I provide the COBRA elegibility notice to a different employer to get coverage sooner? Or go a short few week gap with no insurance since COBRA enrollment will have lapsed.
