Confidential clearance
I am required to get a confidential clearance (the base level of clearance required). What does this involve? Will this require a sf86?
government sponsored places like fannie mae OE friendly?
Currently J1 is Govt contractor with clearance and J2 off is govt sponsored. Any advice is helpful. Both remote.
FAAANG engineer to system/software engineer role with TS/SCI FSP?
Anyone have suggestions on how to accomplish this? May be a longshot. There's so few roles that will sponsor for FSP so i'm wondering if it's even possible to directly switch to a role like this. I am based in MD btw.
Currently working J1 for a gov't contractor and interviewing with J0. What are the risks?
Which paths are best in terms of least issues? I assume continuing to interview without my new J1? I also assume that it's unlikely that J1 will find out and that I should stay away from anymore gov't jobs? To clarify this J is a gov't contractor job with public clearance
Are there ANY federal or state PM or data roles that allow working overseas?
I have public trust clearance, and I can easily snag one of those roles, but because I travel overseas, every role has told me no, it's not possible. But I think some people do it legit (by getting permission from their employer). I'm not sure how it's done, but man I'd love to figure it out!
Working overseas with public trust clearance?
Is it possible to work overseas for a federal contractor while you have a public trust clearance? If you are caught working overseas, I assume the consequences are you get fired, is ther any more to it than that? I'm not talking about working directly for the feds, but for a federal contractor
FBI Background checks?
- Looks like they interview the people you worked with
- Fingerprinting
- Don't lie to them...
OE J2+ with public trust clearance?
Hi, I am currently OE, can I hide my jobs to land another job that requires me to have a public trust clearance?
Solution:
You have to list truthfully all of your concurrent jobs when you fill out the SF-85. This will disclosure your status as overemployed, and depending on who reviews the form, could be a non-starter for you.
You also should not lie on the form as that can land you in legal waters with the government....
