Suit Fit Check + Gala Questions
Hey ya’ll,
My work is making me attend a gala event to celebrate an anniversary for a well known charity. The dress code is semi-formal to formal, with a mixed demographic of ultra wealthy to middle class.
Would this current suit configuration be appropriate for such an event? As it stands I don’t have much in terms of formal wear to play with. A lot of my clothes no longer fit me, as I haven’t had to wear formal clothing since pre-covid and I went from being obese to somewhat in shape again. For my work it’s very rare that I need to wear suits, as we mostly work on outdoor projects (experiential marketing). ...
Suggestions on Wedding Attire to match these flared suit pants?
Going to a black tie optional wedding and don’t want to wear a plain tuxedo. Looking for suggestions on blazers and or shirts to match these pants. I don’t wanna be too flashy as the pants are flashy enough, I just want to wear something different from the norm.
Furthermore, do we think these can work in a wedding style attire? Or should I just go with a traditional style tuxedo....

Where would you look for a down jacket? Thinking vintage is the way to not invest too much money. on my list so far is vintage Eddie Bauer and Woolrich but Eddie Bauer seems to have better designs for down. Also would you prefer a shorter or longer jacket? Thank you!
Too skinny?
These are Levi’s XX tapered cords. The fit feels a little…dated? I think they’re more slim then skinny, but just looking for overall feedback on how they look. I’m probably overthinking it.

What's going on with the lapel on this jacket?
I think there's a button on the back of the notch lapel on the other side, corresponding to this button flap. Is there a name for this flap style lapel? I can't find another example of it. What does it evoke to you? It seems super casual, but does it seem gimmicky or overly weird or dated to a specific era or anything?
ID on Vintage Shirt Maker
Hi, I found this very cool, very soft, probably very old t-shirt but cannot distinguish the maker from the tag. Google Glass is inconclusive, and while I can make out the red script saying "Best Quality", I cannot read ot recognize the logo other than its similarity to Chevrolet. Any ideas, so I can try to source more?

I picked up this G-1 avirex jacket on a whim, mostly cause it was pretty cheap, but now I'm trying it on I'm really not sure if I'm feeling it. Not sure if it's too big, just not my style, or if it just veers a bit close to top gun cosplay. Thoughts appreciated!
Does this look like an orphaned suit jacket?
I'm having buyers remorse, it fit me quite well but I think the notched lapels and the pockets are giving off an orphaned suit jacket feel. What do you think? Will it pair with chinos at all or is it too formal?
Converting dog collar to keychains?
Dog just passed (not my dog). Owner would like to get the dog's collar cut up and converted to keychains for keepsakes. What craftsperson would be the best to contact for a custom project like this?
