Converting dog collar to keychains?
Dog just passed (not my dog). Owner would like to get the dog's collar cut up and converted to keychains for keepsakes. What craftsperson would be the best to contact for a custom project like this?
Location: Arizona, US.

They could easily take it to a normal sewing shop where they can cut it up in sections and make short lanyards with a loop containing a key ring.
So cut the red line, have the seamstress clean that end by sewing it down on itself, or whatever. Get rid of the plastic clip thing and replace with a key ring. Then he's got a 6-8" lanyard. He could probably do that himself if he had a strong enough sewing machine
looking at the material it’d probably look nicest with whatever you’d call these heavy duty kind-of-carabiner-clips
Thanks, I've forwarded this answer to him
Do you happen to know where it's from or what it's called?
i’ve seen both “heavy triangle carabiner” and “wide mouth heavy duty clip”
Oh thanks, I've found it

you can also order from amazon if you don’t want to trust an etsy reseller with hardware
Thanks, I'll let him know
