Why not just set it in config.txt? You can disable wifi there on a hardware level, instead of only disabled the service.

Temps different under V2
I noticed this too. My PT1000 is about 2C lower then the bed thermistor.
Having my house temp at 19C, I trust the bed temp at ~19C more.

That still leaves the wifi chip enabled, afaik.
I always disable wifi in config.txt (it's a certain overlay I forgot the name of)

I am sure I didn’t just do it, because the header used in the documentation is an always on one, iirc.
