Attempting to update RatOS, as I have done several times before over the past year or so. Pi > Network page says, "Failed to initialize. This panel needs NetworkManager installed into the system. And the appropriate permissions. Without them it will not function. Failed to detect NetworkManager service." Pi is connected to Windows 10 PC via Ethernet cable. PC has very solid Internet connection. Where to find, and how to install NetworkManager, please? Thank you!:ratrig:

Help With 4028 Part Fan Code, Please?
Using the 4-wire Sanyo Part Cooling fan supplied by R-R in the V-Core 3.1 standard kit, I've got it wired up as shown at https://os.ratrig.com/doc/guides/4028
The voltage jumper is in the center position, as shown in the illustration, for 12 volts. When I edit printer.cfg > ### USER OVERRIDES section, I can't seem to get the [fan] code correct. Would some one help, please? THANK YOU!

Raspberry Pi "touch" Feature Quit Working
After more than a month of working just fine on my new V-Core 3 with Octopus Pro 446 MCU, the "touch" feature on the Raspberry Pi 3B+ display screen quit working. The display itself works ok, although the "screen saver" feature goes black after about 15 to 20 minutes of printing. Very annoying. I thought the problem might with the Pi 3 B+ itself, so I tried another Pi 3B+. Same problem. Most functions of the Printer are controlled wirelessly via a Windows 10 laptop. The OS is RatOS. Is there some command I can send from the laptop to turn the "touch" feature back on? Thanks!

Where is "docs/Config_reference.md" ?
RatRig V-Core 3.1 500, Octopus Pro, Raspberry Pi 3B+
New problem, just started today. Bed is warm to touch, but not hot enough. I'm getting the following message:
"Klipper reports: SHUTDOWN
Heater heater_bed not heating at expected rate
See the 'verify_heater' section in docs/Config_Reference.md
for the parameters that control this check."
Please help? Thank you very much!

mcu: Unable to connect
Thanks to blacksmithforlife us’ FAQ’s I’ve definitely made some progress. Windows 10 laptop is now talking to Raspberry Pi 3 B+ flashed with RatOS 2.0.0, and Mainsail is talking to Moonraker. All software components have been updated to the latest versions, so it appears something is connected to the Internet via WiFi. Making progress!
Moonraker is not talking to Klipper however. On the laptop’s RatOS DASHBOARD, it says, “Printer is not ready. The klippy host software is attempting to connect.” Then, a few seconds later, “Klipper reports: ERROR” and “mcu ‘mcu’: Unable to connect.” Octopus Pro has four tiny LED’s: POWER (steady red), MOTOR POWER (steady green), another steady red not labelled, and a very rapidly (~3fps?) flashing red STATUS light. As advised somewhere “official”, there are no cables plugged into the Octopus except power and the USB-C >< USB-A cable (Pi end).
This printer is a standard Rat-Rig V-Core 3 500 kit. It’s my first 3D printer, but my 2nd major “mechatronic” project in my retirement. The 1st was a 3-axis CNC milling machine, which is working OK except for a noisy spindle motor bearing.
Any & all help is appreciated to fix this “mcu: Unable to connect” problem. Happy to buy pizza and beer! THANKS!

RatOS v2.0.0... now unable to join network "RatOS"
Please help?
Downloaded 2023-03-03-RatOS-v2.0.0-raspberry-rpi64.img.xz from GitHub.
Flashed to micro SD card using balenaEtcher, as I did before with V1.2.4. No problems.
4 different computers (2 Windows 10, 2 iOS) all "see" RatOS, but all 4 say, "Unable to join network "RatOS".
Please, what am I doing wrong?
Thank you for any help.

Unable to Connect to MCU
John Vee — 02/25/2023 4:14 PM
PLEASE HELP? Still unable to connect to MCU. I've worked thru blacksmithforlife us's FAQ on the subject, and corrected two issues: 1.) removed MCU Power Jumper. 2.) Replaced the "power only" USB cable with brand-new data-type USB-C cable. Also tried disconnecting everything (except power and USB-C) from the Octopus. When I SSH into the Pi from another computer, disconnect the Octopus, run dmesg -w, and plug the USB-C back into the Octopus, the only error message I get is "MCU unable to connect.". Thank you for your

Klipper won't start.
Please, I need some help. The Octopus PRO Manual, and dozens of on-line images of Octopus PRO wiring make no mention of Jumper J68 (V_BUS/5V). This is my first 3D printer, but I have been building electronics, and writing computer code for about 50 years. I've built a Standard Rat Rig V-Core 3 500. My problem is that Klipper won't start. I have a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ connected to the Octopus via USB-C. There are several LEDs illuminated on the Octopus, including green motor power and a rapidly flashing red "STATUS" LED. All six motors appear to be energized. I have a Windows 10 laptop that seems to be communicating very well with RatOS via WiFi. Since I had no knowledge of this J68 (V_BUS/5V) jumper, have I damaged the Octopus by powering it with both 5V and 24V?
