chemistry - valency
Q: Metal ‘M’ forms a peroxide of the type MO2, Valency of the metal wrt oxygen is?
Doubt: ik generally it is +2 but if we take an example like sodium peroxide won’t we take the valency of the sodium to be +1 bc I have never seen Na have a charge +2, is it an exception case ?
Excuse me if I am missing a stupid point

maths doubt
root x+2 >= x
I need to know if this is correct or no :
Using wavy curve method x belong to [-1,2]…..1
x is defined only when it is greater than or equal to -2……..2
So from 1, 2 will x belong to [-2,2] ?
Please correct me if I went wrong somewhere
