Oversized Cardigan
Try with a tee shirt too. I got a cardigan expecting to wear it with collared shirts, but it seems to work better with tees.

Burgundy Jacket recs?
It looks like Levis has made some maroon jackets. Not sure if there's anything in their current lineup, but you can look for stuff secondhand, if you're open to that. I have a rust-colored jacket from Levis that I'm very happy with, which isn't exactly the color you're looking for, but in the same ballpark.

And if you are open to secondhand, listings on eBay and other sites will often have more detailed measurements than you get from online retailers selling new stuff

Biomimicry Color Theory - Topic of the day 4/3/25
This reminds me of a question I asked awhile back: why are our inner layers usually lighter (e.g. white shirt, dark jacket)? I don't think anyone came up with a good reason for why this usually looks better, but I think it's very interesting to try to understand why certain fits look good.

This may sound weird, but I'd also recommend going to Levi's stores in Japan. They are much higher-end than the US, and have some good, interesting, made-in-Japan stuff.

First/second pair of shoes
They don't have much heel. But leather shoes can be hard to size correctly, and need to be broken in, and even then aren't as comfortable as sneakers, in my experience.
