Reverse bowden easy to push hard to pull
Found the issue; apparently if you turn the Eibos Polyhemus filament dryer off while its rotating the spool in drying mode the cam for the rear rollers doesn't disengage and it locks them causing drag. Turning the rotation feature on and back off frees it up.

Random clogging?
Ok it is a dodgy connection in my loom I managed to replicate it when the toolhead is in a certain position. I guess my extruder wire is also dodgy and that would explain the fan and random extrusion issues 😬

Random clogging?
Yeah the runout sensor was triggering because no filament was coming out and then I was manually resuming and it would work fine for a few more seconds then runout again/stop extruding

Random clogging?
hmm so I'm sure its my part cooling fan going nuts as my other fan doesn't make that much noise at 100%... I'll see if I can check the connections; I had a look at my klipper logs but I'm not sure what I'm looking for?

Heater extruder not heating at expected rate
I tried putting 24v through the hotend from a bench PSU and it only seems to pull 0.01amps so I guess it’s toast. Next question - I bought the standard vcore 3.1 kit which I think came with a rapido UHF hotend - can I put the rapido plus UHF heater block kit in it or is that not going to be compatible? Not sure what the difference between plus and regular is

First layer issues on travel
Hmm I can see nozzle diameter in my printer.cnf- didn’t know that was there. That being said it also has pressure advance in there but it’s using the PA I specify in my slicer filament gcode… seems weird to have to configure the nozzle in firmware as well as the slicer 😕

First layer issues on travel
I set it in the slicer not in printer.cfg- didn’t think it would be an option there but I’ll take a look. I’ve given up on the 0.3 nozzle and put a 0.4 back in and it works perfectly. Really frustrating! Especially since the 0.6 nozzle worked fine

First layer issues on travel
Yep that’s the only tuning I’ve done on swapping the nozzle though; that’s all I had to do when I went from 0.4 to 0.6 too

First layer issues on travel
I’m case it’s not clear from the video the issue is the blob that seems to be left at the start/end of a new perimeter. All line widths are relative, I think I’m running at 115% and first layer 0.18mm with other layers 0.1mm. I’m printing PETG with a heated bed.

Nozzle clogs during filament change
I’ll give it a try doing it manually but that seems to be the same process the macro uses 👍

Nozzle clogs during filament change
I’ll give that a go, I’ve not had a clog mid print yet though just during changes. I’ll maybe try a change at a higher temp first as I’m happy with the printing as it is
