I feel like it's been that way for a while now. The first 2-3 years were fun and exciting. There were colors and patterns. Statement pieces. That was also when relaxed fits were just starting to come back, so maybe that gave it an edge. Recent seasons have just been all brown, and the fabrics haven't been interesting. Early UU was cheap but still had a hint of luxury. It was a healthy compromise between Uniqlo and Lemaire. It seems today it's just kinda how Uniqlo beta tests new patterns. Takes off rose-colored glasses
