Denim
Spent a couple of weeks in Japan last month and spent a good chunk of change. Considering heading back in a few months if rates are still favorable

Does anyone ever call you out for that? On occasion I wear nonprescription glasses but they still have lenses. Lensless would be convenient since I wouldn't have to worry about smudges or getting them scratched up

Interesting. Does the 10 years ago thing apply to a specific model? Or the brand as a whole? I've got some clubmasters and a pair of marshalls that I really like, but that's just me and there's tons of options for sunglasses out there

Porter is great - probably my go-to bags for something simple and functional that can take some abuse if I just need something to tote around

Jewelry (rings, necklace, bracelets) for me but those never get taken off so maybe they don't count in the context of this topic. I've worn a watch pretty much daily for the past 25+ years, and I do switch up between the 6 that I own, depending on mood and to a degree, what clothes I'm wearing. Same with sunglasses - rotate between several pairs. Traveling at the moment though and I pack very light so I'll be in the same watch and pair of sunglasses for the next 6 weeks or so

Hiring a stylist? Struggling to find identity
I'll add to this and say a good stylist will charge a pretty high rate, but it also depends on how much they do. I think my person was maybe 200/hr, but she shopped for me, took care of tailoring, put together outfits for special events, and even packed for my travels.

Hiring a stylist? Struggling to find identity
As someone who has hired a stylist in the past, I'll say it was marginally helpful. It was nice to have someone go out and shop for me so I could spend my time doing other things, but I still had to try stuff on and I wasn't always thrilled about what she picked up for me. I just buy stuff online now if I don't have the time to physically stop and/or the shops I frequent have good sales staff who have a general idea of what I like and they let me know when they get new things that they think I might like. Don't waste your money on the stylist

I'm looking to buy a ring and don't know where to start
getting back to the question, i think if youre just experimenting, you could probably find some cheap costume jewelry and stainless steel stuff to try out before committing to something more pricey like a precious metal

I'm looking to buy a ring and don't know where to start
good point. i guess it would help to have an eye for that stuff - he was a jeweler himself and hit up pawn shops wherever he was traveling and im sure not every trip was a success

I'm looking to buy a ring and don't know where to start
i dont know if this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but in a similar vein as the thrift/vintage/ebay route, pawn shops might be good places to look for cheapter sterling silver and other precious metals. used to know a guy that would purchase from pawn shops, polish, and resell for a pretty good profit

I'm looking to buy a ring and don't know where to start
simple rings work too. tons of people out there that just have a single wedding band. as for which finger, thats really a personal preference and maybe lifestyle, especially with a bigger ring since they might get in the way when youre doing stuff. fidget factor is a thing as well

I'm looking to buy a ring and don't know where to start
not an expert but i sometimes like the juxtaposition of a more conservative outfit like a suit with less conservative looking jewelry like chunkier rings and maybe a few stacked bracelets. makes it look a little more interesting and not as stuffy
