Are synthetic fabrics actually toxic for you?
Bisphenol compounds mimic estrogen in the body, though do not function the same. It causes issues with receptors bonding to these compounds instead of estrogen, inhibiting the normal function

Are synthetic fabrics actually toxic for you?
It's length of exposure, conditions such as heat and sweat saturation, whether washing the underwear in certain ways with certain detergents makes it easier/faster for compounds to release, etc.

Are synthetic fabrics actually toxic for you?
It'll be pretty case dependent though, the cheaper the fabric/brand the less likely it'll be good synthetic. Lululemon is a good bet for avoiding bad plasticizers

Are synthetic fabrics actually toxic for you?
Highly dependent on the specific fabric, most plastics use a collection of compounds besides the polymer base to change their properties, usually called plasticizers, as additives. The parent plastic can be totally fine and inert under standard conditions whereas the plasticizers aren't fixed into the structure as strongly and can leech out over time, this was the issue with bisphenol compounds like BPA which were found to leech into food and drink in water bottles and can liners and in the body disrupt normal hormonal functions due to being estrogen like and bonding to the receptors very strongly.
Personally I avoid synthetics for underwear and as much as I can for socks for this reason, and try to avoid it in general for the issues of micro plastics shedding from the washing process.

Haven't worked out how to wear these yet.
The pop over would go well with green fatigues, faded blue jeans, khaki chinos, these white jeans, etc. not as sure about the rugby

What color socks to wear with a chunky black derby?
Try an off white, like cream or beige for the sock if white is something you like but stark white seems too "try hard" for you. Unbleached should have an ecru (natural, unbleached cotton) sock that's well priced

Definitely get measurements, and if there's the option try on as many suits as you can. Learn what you like as far as cut and how things wear, especially with trousers,it'll really help you with finding a good fit second hand

Beckett simonon sizing
But yeah, BS suggests staying true to bannock and RW suggests going a half size down (usually), sizing yourself on red wing iron rangers and going up 1/2 from there should get you what you need

I'd say it's a decent gauge. I find the last BS uses on their oxfords roomier in the ball of the foot than the Iron Ranger's # 8 last as well

True to bannock is my experience. I have a Truman 10.5D, red wing iron ranger 10.5D, Crockett and Jones 9.5UK, and the 11D Beckett Simonon fits me well.

Leather Boot Reccomendations
If Carmina has options you like the look of, check out TLB Mallorca. For a good boot at a lower tier, yanko and meermin are good options. Be careful of Spanish lasts though, they can run rather narrow
