Beckett simonon sizing

I’m looking for a quality pair of dark brown leather monk strap shoes for my wedding this year and saw the BS monks and loved them. Curious if anyone can help with sizing though. I have a pair of Steve Madden chukka boots in a 10 that fit as well as some Cole haan boat shoes, also I believe in a 10. Sizing on the BS site says 10 will do but want to ask before I buy. Or or anyone has any other recs in that price point Thanks

I'm 10d on brannock and wear size 10 for all of my leather shoes. I used to own a pair of their douglas jodhpurs and they fit true to size I think they do free size exchanges though

I’m just in Canada so the process of exchanging is a bit of a pain but I’ll go with the 10. Never tried a brannock

True to bannock is my experience. I have a Truman 10.5D, red wing iron ranger 10.5D, Crockett and Jones 9.5UK, and the 11D Beckett Simonon fits me well.

Is a half size down from red wing a good gauge? I have a red wing store. Kinda close to me so I could try on a pair of IR and go down a half

I'd say it's a decent gauge. I find the last BS uses on their oxfords roomier in the ball of the foot than the Iron Ranger's # 8 last as well But yeah, BS suggests staying true to bannock and RW suggests going a half size down (usually), sizing yourself on red wing iron rangers and going up 1/2 from there should get you what you need

My experience for a pair of their Chelseas was also true to brannock (8.5), so half size down from sneakers (9), and full size up from Red Wing and most heritage boot brands (8)
