Love their OCBDs, theyāre honestly perfect imo. Also have a pearl snap western shirt and 2 pairs of their pleated chinos, and to spaghettiās point they do fit slightly different even though theyāre the same model/fabric

Really liking the tencel snap and linen flat fronts I picked up, kinda wondering if I would've liked the pleated fit better but overall very happy with both items

the chinos are pretty tricky
bc that fabric is the equivalent of unsanforized denim
and some of em are dyed at the factory and some of em are dyed locally in nyc which also can affect the fit
i've only ever got the pleateds but i think im ready for the flat front

re: how stuff fits, canoeclub is super helpful finding out how stuff fits too. only place that does a whole video of the fits of their buys on youtube
I like my tencel pearl snap but the sizing was def wonky and the cuffs are super wide for some reason? Annoying because you can't just move the snaps like you can with a button
wide? mine were pretty narrow, like they nicely fit my wrists I guess
The cuffs on ym tencel are also wide. If they were buttons I'd have them moved for sure. Maybe my wrists are just super tiny tho
I will say I bought the same size pants from two different places and there was a full inch difference in the waist

I really love the pearlsnaps (the fabrics and colours are beautiful) but it always bothers me that they're pleated on the back. To me (personally) western shirts should be relatively slim and trim - but I recognise this might not be the style Wythe has in mind!

Got the moleskin shirt in wheat the other day on final sale and it is WAY more yellow than it looks online. Not a color I would ever wear normally, but it is still one of the most beautiful shirts I've ever seen, so I'm going to learn to wear yellow.

CCās lighting washes it out quite a bit, itās not as light and contrasty
It looks like the pocket placement is narrower on the chest on the new one as well, unless that's just a one-off difference. I just ordered the older version on Wythe's site because I like the pockets better, but they're both beautiful.

Got two shirts from the NMWA archive sale, one in medium (my usual shirt size) and a large (because it was cheap and I was living dangerously). These are my first Wythe shirts, shocked at how small the medium is. Large fits me perfectly. Do Wythe shirts usually run small?

ohhhhh white moleskin was the very first fall, and those were almost a size too small due to the shrinkage in the dyeing/washing process

for anyone considering the heavyweight canvas chinos, i picked up a pair of 36 and the waist was pretty big so I hot washed and dried and they shrunk a good amount
also accidentally left my moleskins in the dryer for too long and those shrunk a fair bit too. could be a good thing for some.

Weird question but is there a good way to prevent the flannel shirts from pilling? I've found that a couple of mine end up getting a weird texture pretty fast from rubbing up against jeans or a backpack

Yes!
First up backpacks (especially with the mesh straps) are the worst thing you could put up against your clothes on a daily basis. Not ideal, I know, but thatās definitely not helping. Tough thing about our flannels is the yarn size combined with the brushing/finishing process which puts them a couple pegs up from a vintage flannel, but thatās also kind of our goal

I have slightly long arms and torso and went for a long size. Hot washed and dried and they shrank about an inch in sleeve length? Ended up fitting pretty perfectly

Anyone have any guidance on sizing the mole skin snap shirts? Mainly wondering about shrinkage but it looks like they run large on the size chart.
I haven't seen any shrinkage in mine but I'm a wash cold / hang dry type. They do run a little big in my experience (although I would still go tts)
I usually wear an xl t-shirt but itās almost pushing 24ā for a large which is what my xl sweaters measure. I think Iāll be safe with a large?

If thereās been discussion of the 5 pocket Bedford cords I havenāt been able to find it (can you even search within a thread on discord?). I have the donegal cords so I know how those fit but it sounds from the description like these will be a lot different (due to the nature of Bedford?). But Iām also seeing wildly differing measurements online - the 34 is 34ā on Wythe, 33ā at NMWA and 32ā at Blue Owl!!

Itās from the same factory as the chambray but a slightly different pattern
On any color you should size up. The natural/undyed color you can take your normal size
The wash after the garment dyed colors shrunk them a bit

The easy answer is that Wythe doesnāt really mean anything (other than the bricklaying thing) so there arent really other connotations that come with it. Like if we called it Peteās Westernwear or something like that, it would sort of confine what people see us as.
And the other part is he came up with the brand while he was living on Wythe, and that was his first home in NY

How many holes are there on the tooled belts? I'm trying to decide if it makes more sense to order a 30 or 32. I've been using a self made 31in hole on my belts recently and it's still a bit loose, but at my heaviest I tend to need a 32in hole.

I had to size up this season from the XL moleskines to the XXL because they over corrected the arm bagginess from previous seasons and my arms felt like sausages in a casing. I had to have a tailor shorted the shirt by like 4 inches to make it not look goofy but now it fits perfectly slightly oversized
The forearms were a bit over corrected this season when we changed factories. Theyāll be adjusted next year.
Love to hear it. The moleskine is a piece that I can see myself picking up a new version of every year.

Thanks! This makes more sense - 18ā would be narrower than even most medium slim fit shirts. I still suspect that I might run into the same issue that I have with Kamakura where measurements seem okay on paper but high arm holes + relatively narrow shoulders makes them a poor fit on me
I have these in a 32 and they measure 16ā across the top - but this is very misleading. The material must be inherently stretchy because I normally get pants that are 33ā-34ā across the top, yet these are still roomy.

these are washed for softness, not for shrinkage
cotton shrinks, these shirts will shrink in the initial wash, and less so in washes after that

I love the feel of the fabric, something about the top of the pockets angling downwards just rubs me the wrong way for some reason
I think it might be inevitable for pockets on a thin and loose fabric like that

Hmm interesting. Are they a similar cut? My impression from the pics is that the loose fabric on the sides causes the shirt to drape more there which pulls that side of the pocket down

I have two, and while I think they are great shirts, the fabric wrinkles instantly, and they seem to hold on to any water that gets on them permanently, which makes any false move ironing or steaming really challenging. Iāve been fine with a low temp iron and havenāt had the water stain issues so I canāt say
Itās made from wood pulp so itās going to dry it out when you get them wet
They relax once you wear them for like 10 minutes
I wash mine regularly and it is very much a temporary thing
But steamers work wonders too
i get water all over these, between my personal ones and the ones we take to wholesale market, and have never experienced any water stain issues

Does anyone know if Wythe OCBDs used to come without any branding? I just got an OCBD from grailed for cheap and it kinda fits like my other wythe shirts, maybe a bit slimmer (I know they change their fits a lot), but nothing in the shirt says Wythe. Thereās no tag and no stamp on the collar (my other Wythe shirts have both).
The real old ones used to be stamped but we changed that to a screenprint so it lasts a bit longer
The stamps used to disappear after like 2 washes
