What does enable distant generation do
Asking becuase all villages that are within my DH range have lost all their villagers so was wondering if the village was being loaded in and zombies had like killed them or something
LOD chunks not showing up in the nether
For some reason it doesnt seem like distnat horizons works in the nether for me and the lod chunks just dont show up. Im using distant horizons compatible shaders - complementary reimagined.
Black/ Shadowed Chunks
Hi there, I have a missive problem with black/ shadowed lods. I used starlight, read that the current version of DH doesn't work well with it, deleted it and the overworld lod files, regenerated them but it didn't work well. Then read that downgrading to DH 2.1.0 might help, but the problem still persists.
I'll provide some screenshots below.
Maybe some of you have ideas what to do against it?...

How to make leaves look better?
I don't remember leaves looking so bland in DH with shaders? They stand out a lot and don't seem to get affected by shadows. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm playing on 1.21 with DH 2.1.2 and bliss shaders.
certain chunks wont load/save
when im loading my world in multiplayer with dh2. certain chunks just wont save and disappear no matter what. i tried restarting my game, my cpu load is on aggressive, is there ny way to fix this?
Question On Server LOD swap
In order to use single player LODs on identical server works, do I need to install mod onto server or can it be all client side ? With appropriate folders? Best I could word it haha TIA!

Platforms from outside render distance
I noticed in my gold farm in the nether that the platforms become super glitchy and not accurate to what it looks like when inside my render distance (this is on a server, so the levels of detail are a lot more obvious than in singleplayer), and it looks really janky. Is this something I can fix or just a limitation of the mod? See images.

fixed it, just had to increase vertical render quality
DH Unloading LODs within Render Distance
The video more or less sums up the issue - basically I have a 256 chunk render distance but moving around is unloading chunks that should still be within the render distance. This is only happening to "recently" generated LODs (If I relog then the chunks I've previously generated no longer have this issue, but any newly generated chunks have this issue again).
This is in Fabric 1.21, I've been using Fabric 1.20 for quite some time without these issues. This is on multiplayer, and I do have a large mod list but I don't believe any of them to be the cause here (I've already checked the available incompatibilities list).
Does anyone know what's causing this/how to fix it? Any help at all is deeply appreciated, thank you!...
Solution:
For me it alny happens in a fresh world that generates a lot of LODs at once, when I'm later playing the world and exploring slower I don't have this problem

Is the game supposed to look like this? I am unsure if this could be from a different mod. But with other shaders before installing DH + the dev build of Bliss I didn't have this issue.
DH not working anymore with fabric better mc 1.20.1 pack
had DH working with better MC for a few weeks, had to remove DH briefly to solve another compatibility issue and now after putting it back, fabric loader is giving me this error:

distant horizon doesn't work
distant horizon aint generating lod chunks on my 1.21 modded server, also when it wasnt server side modded and i was using fabric, it generated chunks that were out of place such as like 4-5 random jungle mountains in the middle of the ocean, the server had terralith at that time so idk

DH + OrthoCamera 1.20.1
I'm using the orthocamera mod and there is no aparent conflics, when i go to the orthocamera mode DH begins to display just a "scan line" as can be seen in the gif, DH works fine when not in ortho camera.
Is that possible to disable DH for the_nether and the_end dimensions?

I use 1.20.4 fabric with the basic mods and no shaders. The Enable Distant Generation button is on but it still doesn't work. I've tried a chunk pregenerator but still nothing.
1.21 DH Deletes Multiplayer LODs
Hey y'all. I've been having a blast with DH on other servers w/o problems (although I am struggling a bit with shader support, that isn't my problem today). I recently changed over my server's map to Greenfield v0.5.4, which is a pretty big map, and I got some pretty good exploration of it done with the mod installed. I've logged in and out several times and the LODs were preserved, but for whatever reason today, I log in and now it's like they've all been deleted. I have to now reload all of the map again, like I never loaded those chunks in before. Is there a reason this happened? Is there a limit on what DH can retain in terms of chunks, or something relating to CPU? Most importantly, is there a way to get the LODs I've already discovered back? I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

I'm honestly unsure what version of iris, sodium, and indium I need to get DH 2.1.2 to launch - Without it, the game launches fine - With it, it crashes on launch:

Dimension Filter/Mining Dimension Issue
Hi - Using DH 1.21 on ATM9 Modpack
All worked fine until I went to the Mining dimension (from AlltheModium)
Upon doing so, distant horizons showed overworld chunks far below (as mining dimension is high up near build limit) in un-explored chunks....
