Cleaning thrifted overcoat
If you really don't want or can't send it to dry cleaning, put it under sun for a few day. Also hang it in a place with good air circulation would also help. Anyways, a professional cleaner would do the job better and has less chance to damage the coat.

which suit
If you were to get only one suit, plain navy or charcoal would be better. IMO, brown check jacket would be too casual for interview, and strip suits may be too heavy for casual events.

Would this sherpa jacket from HappyEarth be a good purchase? And any advice for how to wear it?
IMO, sherpa/ fleece jackets works almost the same as hoodies. They are both warm, soft and casual. You can wear it with tees n jeans for a casual setup. Or chino/ cords to dress up a bit. BTW, I also want to get a cream/ white sherpa (mine is black.) Nice pick!

how to Style
Car coats should be weather proof. I assume you can wear it with tees in 15-ish C. If you want to get somewhere cooler, a nice sweater is needed. If you're going somewhere under 0 C, layering am extra jacket is what you need.

It's a fairly basic piece. So you almost can't go wrong with it. Shirts/ sweater/ hoodie in light color if you want to stand out more. Or some more colorful sweater for Drake's or ALD style.

From the beloved MFA basic guide, you can start with light jackets like trucker/ denim jacket or some basic coach jacket. Field jacket is also classic. If you want to get more, a pea coat would be the choice to get one step further, also good for more chilly days.

Light jackets such as a trucker jackets in indigo/black denim or tan/olive cotton, chore coats in olive/brown, or field jackets in olive/brown/gray.

Warm jacket such as an overcoat or parka in dark neutrals (gray/brown for overcoats, olive/gray/black for parkas).
Baby steps: There is a whole wide world of jackets out there, both light and heavy, so look into several different varieties to figure out what you like.

tank top essentials
IMO, the best tank top is the one with jacked arms.
For the tanks itself, Sunspel also make great clothes and they are having a summer sale now.
