Container Store slim wooden shirt hangers?
40 for $42 isn’t a bad deal at all. I rebuilt my closet using a mix of the ikea and primark wooden hangers. I did it slowly but for sure paid more than $1 per I found the ikea ones are great quality. Primark ones are alright. A couple have broken (crap nails) I would mainly use these for T shirts or button downs. Check your local mens store for high quality suit hangers. Most have good bargains

I'm about to inherit this watch. Is this something that I can dress down with a more casual band?
Re strap - replace only if it’s uncomfortable and doesn’t fit you. Quality straps get better with age. Prettier? No. But definitely better.

Smoke smell persisting after dry cleaning my YSL silk tie
Soak / spray with white Vinegar and leave it out in the sun. The sun will evaporate the vinegar which will lift the odor with it. After that do one more normal wash Note - this works extremely well for denim, cottons, and linens. I have not tried it on something 100% silk. YMMV

My dog peed on my sport coat! Will dry cleaning help with this sort of thing, or is it ruined?
Spot on right here ^ Soak it, warm water, dish soap / oxy clean, maybe a tiny spot of bleach, rinse and repeat until the area isn’t discolored and there’s no pee stains For smell, which may linger even after the spot is removed - white vinegar + sunlight Soak in white vinegar then leave outside in direct sun. The sun will dry the vinegar which as it evaporates will remove any lingering odors. ^ after this do a regular wash and it should be almost good as new Good luck OP

luxury watch that can be worn at a startup
this could turn into quite a thread. In short - a lot of this will be personal preference $1k - 10k is also a huge range. That’s a solid Seiko / Tudor or as high up as a brand new Omega Worldtimer Consider some things: A. Type of watch. Chronograph? Pilot? Something with a simple face (dress watch) or something busy (chronograph or calendar) Something that says the date? The day and date? The day, date, and month? From there, focus on 1-3 names, which is what it seems like you’re after. Figure out what each watch maker calls the style of watch you’re after. They can vary B. Price. Do you want an investment piece or just a watch? My quartz Seamaster tells the same time as my Deville 🙂 ^ this should govern your budget and may focus your search more. If you couldn’t care less then buy whatever you want to wear. C. New or used Do you want a new luxury watch full box papers and the white glove experience? It can be nice, but do YOU want that? If not - Chrono24 is your best friend. D. You gonna wear it? I’m just saying, but a clunky 41mm datejust annoys me more than it gives me utility. The heavy watches sliding up and down my wrist as I walk around doesn’t do it for me. YMMV, but seriously think about it. There’s some clunky ass watches out there. Still fancy, but a waste of $$ if you won’t give it the love it’s built for. ^ just my $0.02

How to fix hole/rip in linen pants?
You’re going to need a patch. You can patch it from the inside so it doesn’t draw too much attention. Or, you could use this as an opportunity for a pop of color / unique patch to really make the pants yours. Luckily, this is an easy job. YouTube will be your best bet

Brands for neat summery shirts
@GSH here are some options that won't break the bank. I've been living in them most of the summer so far https://www.abercrombie.com/shop/us/search?searchTerm=Camp+Collar+Linen-Blend I especially like the embrodiered ones. Holding up great so far after a couple washes. I would air dry all of these b/c linen. They also run a little big / boxy. I am a unisex L but order M's. 5'11 185lbs if it helps

Looking for loose fitting crewneck sweatshirts
Hello my friend - you may have good luck looking for things that fit with a dropped / relaxed shoulder and elastic at the bottom. I find Crewnecks with these to be spot on for the fit you're after. For slimmer fit, it may be harder but try to find a crewneck with dropped shoulders but a fixed bottom (no elastic just a stitch). These will fit slimmer because they aren't as wide, but may require you to put your arms straight up when putting it on / taking it off. YMMV. Thrifting is another solid option, just check for stains and weird smells. A few brands I would have you check out: Madewell Abercrombie (possibly too boxy for your liking) Zara ASOS Lucky Brand (cheap!) GAP (good basics!) J.Crew Good luck!
