How to fix hole/rip in linen pants?
There's a hole/rip right next to the back pocket (the pocket fabric is actually ight behind it). I've fixed up simple rips where the fabric didn't flare out like this and I'm wondering if I should try and fix it like a regular tear or try sewing a patch on the inside of it.

I think something that big will need a patch behind it yea, but it looks like you might be able to use the pocket fabric for that?
Maybe. The pocket covers lines up with most of the hole.
You’re going to need a patch. You can patch it from the inside so it doesn’t draw too much attention.
Or, you could use this as an opportunity for a pop of color / unique patch to really make the pants yours.
Luckily, this is an easy job. YouTube will be your best bet
You could darn this if you don’t want to patch it
Takes a while though
