Fatigue shorts similar to these?

Can anyone point me towards some military-style shorts like these? I thrifted a pair of these Lucky Brand fatigue-style shirts. Unfortunately, the fit is just slightly off. No cargo shorts, please.

Forgive my appalling ignorance, but does this mean cut off the pants halfway and then turn in and sew down the edges?

Yes, you can also just have a tailor do it

Yeah just move the hem up, like a pair of pants. You can raw hem with scissors your self or give them a proper hem with a sewing machine (or get them hemmed for $10-15 at your local tailor or dry cleaner)
