Danner boots?

I want to crop my jacket

I’d start small, probably crop to just below the pockets rather than above. You can always cut more off but can’t add back, and above the pockets might be too cropped. I’d use a rotary cutter and possibly a fabric marker to mark a cut line if you care about keeping it even

Thrift store jeans - help me decide

My rule for pickups is usually that if I don’t love it, I leave it for someone else, doubly so if the fit isn’t right. You seem to have mixed opinions, would you actually choose to wear these over other pants you already own or do you just like the concept of them?

As with most dress codes, it can’t hurt to ask the host or other attendees what they’re wearing in a pinch. Dress codes are often put together by people who don’t really know what they’re asking for.
