How to shrink the collar of a wool turtleneck?
I recently bought a turtleneck that fits my body great, it fits my sleeve, shoulders, and torso well but for some reason the neck part is somewhat loose and I want it to fit snug around my neck. Is there any way to shrink the neck without impacting the rest of the piece?

Selectively shrinking parts of a garment is kinda risky but if you really wanna try it you can get the collar wet and then iron it
Is it a roll neck style where you can roll it down over itself?
Yes it is
Ok I think I’ll give that a try. Why is it risky?
It can just shrink unevenly, and wool is hard to stretch back out
Gotcha thanks for letting me know
if you wash and block the sweater but don't pin the neck in place (or pin a narrower shape), it ought to shrink more than the rest of the sweater (which you will have laid out and pinned so it doesn't shrink too much). there are a number of good washing and blocking wool tutorials online
