Trenchcoat: yes or no
I still think a smaller tie knot would serve you well. I think the width of the tie blade balances the width of your face, not the size of the tie knot. But it’s personal preference.
Your current outfits colors are just very drab and it doesn’t have enough contrast.
You can go a couple different ways for the colors. I would start with this:
For the shirt, do white, cream, pale blue, pink, something with stripes, checks, etc. Just make sure it’s light enough to stand out against the coat. Pair this with a dark navy, brown, burgundy, or black tie, preferably with some pattern or texture

Trenchcoat: yes or no
I think it looks good. However, I don’t think that the colors in your outfit work together. Also you should steam the trench coat, it’s very wrinkly.
Also you should tie a smaller tie knot, like the four in hand. I think it would work better for the size of your shirt collar and lean into the classic look of the trench.

90s Polo Ralph Lauren Polo Coat tailoring advice
Thanks. The belt is actually not too tight or too loose, really. It actually sags just a touch. I’ve got plenty of room around the chest and waist.
As for the belt and pocket, those were more just to keep the proportions right after shortening length/sleeve. I’ve studied these vintage polo coats a lot and just had an image in my head of how I wanted it fit based on the models, illustrations, irl pics, etc, that’s why I suggested the alterations. Right now, the pocket sits on my upper thigh, a little lower than I’m used to, but I’ve decided I’ll just try this coat out before doing anything to it

Hair looks thick sometimes and horribly thin other times
The lighting in the October photo is different so it’s difficult to tell. It seems that the shorter haircut reveals more scalp under top-down lighting.
You know your hair the best. If you feel it’s thinning, best advice would be to see a doctor. Hair loss is incredibly common, especially among younger men, and there are meds for it

Pants length
Getting the inseam right is always much harder on skinny pants if you’re going for no-break. You could take the pants up 0.5”, but it’s always gonna either have some break or be too high just from how close the material is to your leg.
If you want no-break, go for a wider cut so the cloth has more space away from your leg and is less sensitive to movement from your ankle/shoe

Thoughts on this vintage Brooks Brothers 3 piece suit?
Thanks! I am wearing the pants a bit low in this photo (on my hips instead of natural waist) just to make the inseam appear a couple inches longer, so maybe that’s what it is. If I wear the pants where they’re meant to sit right now, they’ll look quite cropped. In any case, I’ll have the inseam let down a bit once I get it tailored

sleeves too long on this jawn jacket?
Personally I’d take it to a tailor and get the sleeves shortened. Should be fairly cheap and straightforward alteration.

How to pick glasses for my face type?
I don’t think there’s any hard and fast rules to glasses and face shape. However, I do find that square frames look better on a round head, and round frames look better on a square head. To me, you have a rectangular face so I would try some round frames. Best is to go in person and see what you like. Just make sure the lenses don’t extend beyond your temples

Does this cardigan look good on me?
Fit-wise the cardigan looks good. The design makes it a bit feminine, but not overtly so. I’d say how good it looks more depends on your wardrobe. In this outfit it’s very “meh”. I would style it with some olive utility pants and a contrasting tee or chambray shirt. Or go comfy-core with some wide pants/sweatpants and a fleece jacket on top.

white stitch across shoulders
It’s a called a basting stitch. They’re meant to hold the fabric in place while the shoulders are finished. Normally it’s removed after the garment is complete, but some companies leave it on to give the appearance of a “custom” garment
