OBS recording settings help please
Things you'll want to change for both streaming an recording:
- use Bicubic filtering instead of Lanzcos, as Lanzcos oversharpens things like edges of objects
- Use either of the Two-Passes options for multipass. Quarter-res should be good enough whereas Full-res doesn't seem to add much more quality over Quarter-res
- For streaming, enable Psycho Visual Tuning
- For recording, enable Lookahead

OBS recording settings help please
For recording, doing P1 with a lower CQP is recommened. The presets just tell the GPU how much effort to put into trying to allocate the bits efficiently - that's not really necessary for recording. If you're really trying to save space, it'd be more impactful to raise the CQP until you're no longer happy with the quality

I guess also knowing what CPU and GPU you have, and what type of drive you're recording to (HDD, SATA SSD, NVMe SSD)

Why does virtual camera look so different than the actual camera in OBS?
Technically it supports that, but like you've seen only the virtual device will get the filters and such
You're not really going to get that kind of dual-device functionality out of a webcam, that's normally a thing some capture cards do

Why does virtual camera look so different than the actual camera in OBS?
Yes that's correct, the virtual camera device gets the filters and such from their software, while the regular camera device does not

Few questions about ma35d
The fact of the matter is that you're looking to get an $1800 USD card that has little to no support in most operating systems or software
Whereas you can get 99% of the functionality and quality for like $700 that will work with any OS and software

Few questions about ma35d
Only reason I recommend the 4070ti and above is that it comes with 2 hardware encoder chips, where as the regular 4070 and below have only one encoder chip (at least for the 40 series)
5070 has 1 encoder, 5070ti and 5080 have 2, and the 5090 has 3
The main benefit (at least with OBS and FFmpeg) is that you can split the work of an encode across the encoder chips, letting you encoder higher resolutions and FPS at the same time
AMD doesn't have that but their AV1 quality and performance good regardless

Few questions about ma35d
Let ask some clarifying questions
1. You're using this server to stream to 10-50 individual users? Is there a reason you can't use something like enhanced RTMP to encode the video once and then just send out those streams to the 10-50 people?
2. Do you NEED it to support 10bit for AV1 or HEVC? Why or why not?
3. Technically yes but I don't think even Addie tested that specifically. Is 120 necessary for DOTA?
I ask all these questions because you could theoretically get something like an RTX 4070ti or RX 9070 that can handle AV1, and then have that stream replicated through RTMP to multiple clients without re-encoding each single stream

And even then you don't need an AV app as long as you don't go to sketchy sites and use an adblocker

can't update nvidia app and drivers
Looking it up online, seems like the error code 0x80070005 is for some access denied error
People posting about it say it's that they have the Webroot antivirus app that seems to flag Nvidia's driver as not safe, and that might be the case for other antivirus apps out there
Not sure if NVCleanInstall gets around this by disabling the installer telemetry / advertising or if it's something else

can't update nvidia app and drivers
To install drivers without any bloat and such
1. Download NVCleanInstall from TechPowerup
2. In the main menu, choose “Install best driver for my system”
1. If you want a specific driver, choose from the list of available ones
3. Choose only the things you need:
1. Recommended:
- Drivers (required)
- PhysX (used by some games)
- Microsoft Visual C 2017 Runtimes (not necessary but are good to have regardless)
2. Miscellaneous (not required, only get if you need them)
- HD Audio over HDMI
- USB-C driver (if you have an RTX 20 series GPU with a USB-C port)
- Nvidia App (if you want the features it provides)
- Shadowplay
3. Continue with the installer until the next set of menu options
4. In the Installation Tweaks menu, select the following options:
1. Disable Installer Telemetry & Advertising
2. Perform a Clean Installation

If it's downloaded with a different game store (Epic, EA Play, Ubisoft, etc.) then just use that same app store on your other machine
