E-TF[102] Riker Comments - Answer Overflow

Hey, i just suffered a catastrophic failure of my printer where the umbilical got melted and shorted the cables inside. I also now have this issue. Have the exact same steps as you and still doesnt work. Ive ordered a new board to see what happens but i am wondering if you ever got your old one working again

is this underextruding?

I have just found out that if I I put my temp to 260c with PETG the problem goes away. Anything lower and you can hear a popping sound while the under extrusion is happening

Okay, thank you for the answer, I just checked now, and it appears to be screwed in quite tight, so I don’t think this is my issue. Printing with a 0.6mm at 240c Petg

I hear popping coming from my extruder, despite the fact I have it set to 240C. And I’m suffering from under extrusion.

I’m having similar problems with this hot end. if it’s not screwed in correctly will it report a higher temperature?

update I think my time has ran out. Trying to fix this 2nd hand printer is just futile. The time has come to disassemble it and rebuild it from scratch
