4028 does not work
I followed the guide on connecting the fan but the fan does not stop running.
I tried changing fans and still nothing.
Is there a way to check if I have fried the fan controllers of the octopus v1.1 board?

Connect the pwm wire from the toolhead to the other fan wire (the one you didn't connect). Just use a short pice of wire to temporarily make the connection to see if anything changes.
Also make sure you're connecting to the correct pin.
It would appear many people are having this issue suddenly. I don’t remember this happening so frequently
I can remember seeing 3 other posts in the last 2 months regarding this. Maybe it’s a software issue?
Mine used to work fine until one day I turned my printer on and am having the same issue as the OP
many people blame software, only to discover later they hooked things up wrong
I’m not saying that it is, I’m just saying that in the last two months there has been an increase of this kind of support ticket.
Example with my case it was working fine for one and a half years until one day it did not so I doubt anything to do with being hooked up wrong 🤷♂️
this happens all the time - but the uptick can easily be explained as more kits are coming out now. If it stopped working after 1.5 years I would look at wiring connections. Probably something came loose or broke a wire
I checked all the cables and they are good, all continuity is fine
bottom line I am trying to get at - really prove to yourself that it isn't being hooked up incorrectly (again, I have seen people claim that, spend days/weeks, only to admit it was a bad connection)
I think it’s a problem with my MCU, pwm reads 22v across ground
If it was working fine before until the incident while all cables and connectors have good continuity I don’t know what it could be other than that.
The only thing I can remember happening between the time of it working and not was a full system update, I don’t know what else to say 🤷♂️
